This thing is amazing! I bought it for my 12 year old but I want to drive it as much as he does! It has proportional speed and steering which is a must in an RC. It steers by running the tracks in opposite directions and you can "steer" while the vehicle isn't moving, resulting in the ability to spin in circles. When driving, you can steer quickly or slowly so it is very easy to control. I have owned many RCs in my life and this one doesn't disappoint. It is one of my first tracked vehicles and it runs amazingly. It has suspension in the tracks to allow it to run smoothly over very rough surfaces. It runs just as easily on grass and gravel as it does on pavement which is amazing! The only thing it isn't great at is climbing steep inclines because it has a tendency to tip backwards. But it makes up for this by traveling so effortlessly over rough terrain. The body is awesome looking and very detailed with an opening cockpit (both doors open independently). The battery is on the small side but still offers about a 15-20 minute run time depending on speed and terrain. I really like that they made room in the battery compartment for the charger so you don't have to worry about losing track of it. The controller is fairly typical for RC vehicles in this price point and works well. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase and considering buying a second so we don't need to fight over it!

I was almost more impressed with this RC toy than my son who we purchased it for. The controller makes it easier to control than the joystick type. The crawler varies in speed if you adjust the trigger. Pulling back all the way suddenly makes the crawler jump forward and wheely, but within a few minutes my son had figured out how to start slowly and accelerate so that the tracks stay on the ground. The turning is really fun because you pivot the crawler in place in addition to making traditional turns. We found everything pictured in our box along with brief instructions. We were fooled at first, because the charging cable is stored inside the battery compartment when the toy arrives (see second picture). We find that about 2 hours of charging is sufficient. The indicator lights (red/green) on the charging cable help to know when the battery is fully charged. The crawler also reveals when it's low on battery. The white light above the cab will shine steady under normal conditions, but begin flashing quickly when the battery is low and it's time to recharge. The white light may not be a reliable headlight for rough terrain in the dark, but inside a dark room it does pretty well. My son has gotten probably more than hour of play off of a full charge. My son has taken the crawler across grass, gravel, and dirt and it performs very well. When the grass gets too long the crawler it starts to have trouble, but given the size of the toy that only makes sense. The suspension works really well, especially for climbing over obstacles from books to small rocks. This makes it more fun than the normal four wheel vehicle! Overall we are pleasantly surprised with this purchase and may need to get to another so we have a pair for the little brother too!

Its battery life is abysmal but it’s a trade off, incredible performance in return. I’ve found it to be really responsive and agile, even on sand and grass. The track wears out quick but that was very expected. For a $70 rc vehicle its seems a little bit cheaply made, but it seems to work amazingly well. The remote control is a bit squarely and glitches at longer range(about 120 foot max range). It’s not very large but that doesn’t stop it from climbing like no other rc car I have ever had. I really like the button in place of a power switch. Would definitely recommend

This is my 2nd one! THIS THING IS SO DURABLE. I jumped it off my porch and survived just a problem suspension. I went through mud and water. No problems.

I’ve had this tank about eight months now. I love it. I fly rc airplanes, I’m not usually into rc cars, but this tank is cool. I bought it to get into the crawl space of our house to check for rattlesnakes. I mounted a spy camera and bright led flashlight to it. I used my iPad to drive it. Worked pretty good. No snakes! Both the tank and camera gets out of range about 30 feet under the house. If I go down the side of the house and get closer to the tank, both cam and tank reconnects. Besides using it for that, it is really fun to play with. It really hauls butt for a 7.2 volt car. Way better than other rc cars I’ve had. I play with it in the house too, driving it into different rooms using the cam. Spying on the wife😆. Kind of cool. Does 360s too.

I bought one of these about 4 years ago and it was fantastic. I ran it so much it eventually broke and no longer would turn left or right. So I bought this thinking it is the same. Not at all the same. The first one had reverse just as fast as forward. This one, reverse is maybe 15% of what forward is. So when you get stuck and try to back out - your staying stuck because there is no power in reverse. So this tank went from being fantastic to being absolutely worthless in a few short years. I don't know what the engineers cost reduced, but what ever it was ruined the tank.

Fantastic RC toy lots of fun for children 5+ batteries last around 15/20 minutes but it does come with two rechargeable batteries & a USB charger

This tank is the best RC I've bought in a while. I've worked it very hard, and broke the suspension off with the plastic bit still on it, but found an easy fix: remove the plastic bit, and put the screw back in! It held, and I was careful with it for a while, but then I went back to about how hard I was working it before again, completed a jump, and broke the same suspension unit, this time snapping the screw itself! I will try to repair it, which shouldn't be too hard, and try my idea: put a long steel rod through the whole frame as far as it will go, and firmly attach it to the inside of the frame, and put some silicone around the opening to improve waterproofing. when I finally break all the suspension, I plan to fool around with the gear ratios and try to make it race cars on the highway! I've seen it done with other RC vehicles, so it shouldn't be too hard. Will let you know if it works, and will put it on Instructables!
