Works great
Very simple thermometer, it’s just what we needed to keep an eye on temps throughout the house for our air conditioning unit. Price is great and I would definitely recommend if you need one. The perfect size and works great.

It gives a digital readout of temperature and humidity. The numbers are easy to read.
My thermostat for my HVAC is not accurate but I didn't really know how much it's off. I decided that I wanted to know the actual temperature inside the house. I ordered this thermometer. It arrived promptly and included battery. I turned it on and it took a couple hours to reach steady temperature. I have thermostat set about 74 degrees. This unit is reading 75 degrees and the thermometer on the thermostat is reading about 72. So I now have a unit that confirms what I already knew. The thermostat isn't accurate and the temperature inside the house is somewhere between 70 and 75 degrees. The important thing is the house is at a comfortable temperature.

Room Thermometers and Humidity Gauge is perfect for my greenhouse.
This thermometer is perfect for my greenhouse. It is easy to set up and to ready and with the limited space in my greenhouse, it takes up next to no room. My only complaint is that there were no instructions with it, and since the default setting was for Celsius I needed to figure out how to change to to Fahrenheit. Fortunately, the product page on Amazon had all the necessary information. It also took a bit of doing to figure out how to pull out the bracket in the back so that I could set it on a flat surface so that it wouldn't fall over. It turns out that I also needed to pull it out in order to get the the little black button that switched between the Celsius and the Fahrenheit. Also, there were not explicit directions on how to pull the bracket out, but I finally figured out that you had to pry the lower corner (on either the right or the left side) out, in order to get this bracket to swing out. I actually ended up pulling it completely off of the thermometer by accident, but fortunately it was very easy to snap it back in place. Once it was restored to it original position it was much easier to pull it back out again.

A lot of value for an inexpensive item.
New review since I cannot find my previous review to add on (and it's odd that I now only have 33 reviews and only 9 showing ....)So, this thing is impressive for under $10. In fact I've paid as little as $5 for one. It's impressive because the accuracy both individually and the variation from unit to unit (I have at least three currently in use monitoring the humidity of my 3d printer filament) is very low.I've tested some other similar looking ones as well as some other designs. THIS is the brand that seems to be the most accurate and most consistent between units.Specifically the variation overall among the three devises is 3% from the lowest reading to the highest, and the devices generally read the humidity as slightly higher (usually 1%, but I can't read more than the whole number and I have no idea what the rounding rule is if they read in tenths internally and round up or down.) I compare them against a calibrated humidity and temperature data logger that reads one unit greater in resolution, as well as a weather station that reads the local environment (at the console) and generally agrees with the data logger. These are a great value and seem to run a LONG time on the batteries while providing good data on the humidity levels of my 3d printer filament.I have them just sitting inside the plastic containers that I store my filament in and have taken the extra step of weighing the filament, dehydrating it, and weighing it again, and then doing the math while comparing the new humidity numbers after a day or so back in the container.Someone asked if these have a backlight and the answer is no. Probably because a backlight would cost more and this is a device that was designed to do a good job on one measurement, and at the lowest possible price. Consumers (like me) don't normally want a backlight because it would consume a lot more energy (even if you turn it on and off) and this is a device that is expected to be "on" 24/7. Plus the act of reaching/touching the gauge could possibly disturb the local conditions and alter the accuracy of the humidity and temperature measurements.I don't want any of that. I want to be able to buy a bunch of these and a low price and have them be pretty accurate. That's what they do, and they do it rather well. Better than other brands that I've tested.I'm buying more soon (as soon as I get more plastic storage containers (because rubbermaid discontinued making the ones that worked so well for me!))

Easy to read and nice size
I wanted a thermometer for my bedroom and this is perfect for my bedside table. Easy to read but doesn't take up much space.

Low quality
I thought the temperature reading was a bit off, so I placed two other very accurate thermometers near it and tested it for 48 hours. This unit varied from 4 to 8 degrees F off, usually on the warm side. The temperature and humidity readings should be in a reversed position. Like me, I think most people look at the temperature first and then check the humidity. I was extremely disappointed with this purchase. I will be returning it when time permits.

Approximate, not scientifically accurate
It should first be said that at this price no one should expect a scientific instrument of any significant accuracy. I certainly did not expect this, so this review is not a disappointment of the device just straightforward feedback. I bought this item as an easy, economical option to get a general reading in a specific area to decide if more accurate equipment or more deliberate climate control needs were required. The item's instructions clearly state that there is a variance in its accuracy, ±2 degrees for temperature and ±5% for the hygrometer (humidity) measurements. Those are the main purposes of my purchase and to my needs they work well enough to give me a general idea of the room. This item also features a clock and an alarm but I do not use them. The device displays easy to read with a classic LCD display, temperature being the largest and most prominent number along the top of the screen, with the humidity percentage secondary (same size but lower) on the screen. The clock is displayed at about half the size of the other figures at the bottom left of the screen. It does the job well enough, arrives with its own battery (which it claims will last a minimum of one year) and is large enough to see easily at a fair distance (~15ft/5m) but discreet enough to not call too much attention to itself and hang relatively unobtrusively on the wall (also has self-contained "kickstand" for tabletop display).
