I saw lots of bad reviews on OTHER brands of grooming gloves, apparently not all are created equal. I can stand behind this brand, it’s been great. I’m allergic to cats, but... Once upon a time, this young one less than a year old showed up pregnant and starving during the “snowpocalypse” a few months ago, we had to provide food and shelter for her on our covered back patio. When her kittens were born April 13, we brought them all inside to give them a fighting chance. I’m lining up good homes for them while they wean, but in the meantime... MY ALLERGIES! I’ve named the mom cat Mamacita. She is doing a spring shed, so it’s especially bad. I researched ways to manage her fur that was getting all over me, and found this grooming glove. If you have a skittish cat like Mamacita, you can try doing what I did: I put it in her kittening crate right alongside her Bébés so she could become familiar with it over a couple of days. Worked like a charm. Here’s a video of my scrappy gutter cat, Mamacita, purring like a B52 bomber while I use this glove to de-shed her. The fur peels off in a sheet better if you wait until the glove is heavily loaded with fur. I highly recommend this product. It doesn’t cure me of my allergies to cats, but it does let me hold her without getting envelopes in a cloud of migraine fur. It helps me manage my allergy, and that means I can keep Mamacita. Product seems well made & works very well on one of my cats. She loves being petted with it, purring up a storm. It gets lots of loose fur off of her! And it is pretty easy to pull the fur off the glove when enough has accumulated to peel off in a big piece. My other cat, however, doesn't like being petted or rubbed with it. He meows funny and pulls away if we try to use it on him. I finally just.gave up. So it just depends on your cat if this will be a good product for you.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. I cannot stress enough how great it is. I have a rabbit who sheds a bunch and this is great at picking up her fur. The one side with that is flat is great it easily picks up the fur on all surfaces. When the glove is full it is super simply to get the fur off and keep using. All you need to do is either take water and the fur comes right off or just push your fingers around and get the fur to ball up and it comes off. My rabbit is not a fan of the grooming tool, but shes picky so I cannot blame them for that. Overall 7/5 and I highly suggest buying this.

This works great for removing loose pet hair. I think the cats enjoy it more than a metal brush because it is soft and doesn't have pointy bristles or corners like the Defurminator. The reverse side is great for cleaning fur off of couches and clothing. Cleaning it is easy with a handheld vac, one with a roller brush attachment is best. The big problem is, after 2 years of moderate use, the soft rubber side has hardened and cracked and most of the tips have broken off. So it no longer works as a brush. It's still good for cleaning couches and clothing. Now I use my Defurminator and a slicker brush for grooming the cats and clean up with this glove.

This 2-n-1 Pet grooming glove is so easy to use and keep your pet from shedding hair all over your home! I'm a dog lover and hair on my belongings is not OK, but my dogs always have slept inside. I just brush them as I sit and watch television. They love it and with massage side is so soothing to their sore muscles and old bones. I bought one for my son, he was amazed at how easy the hair just pulled right off the brush side. Then, I bought one for my neighbor lady, who needed to be able to sit while brushing her dog. I wish I could buy them for all pets. Buy, this grooming glove, you'll be glad you did, plus its inexpensive. No, I was not compensated for this review!

I bought this specifically for one of my cats who loves to be pet but sheds like crazy. I used to pet her and get a handful of hair which then went flying. We used to vacuum and fill the canister within one or two rounds. This has solved those problems and has also reduced her hairballs significantly. Best of all, she doesn't mind it in the least! I have another cat who really doesn't care for it and will bite at it, but he mostly puts up with it, too. While the glove doesn't exactly "fit like a glove," the wristband straps tightly enough that it is useable, even for my small hands and long fingers. If you have a cat that suffers from hairballs, I highly suggest trying this product out.

This glove was pretty easy to use, but I didn't find it effective at all for reducing shedding. After lots of brushing with this glove, there's minimal hair on the glove, and still lots of loose hair on my cat. I think the rubber nubs are just too far apart to really grab all the loose hairs. MIght be more effective for a longer hair cat - the wide-spaced nubs might catch longer hair more easily. Switched to a more standard de-shedding brush with metal teeth and noticed the difference immediately - after only a few minutes of use, I'd already collected a huge ball of loose hair from her undercoat!

I have two cats, a long-haired Ragdoll and an American Short Hair (pictured). I was brushing them with a conventional cat brush, with metal brushes tipped with rubber, and they both got annoyed with it after only a few seconds and would squirm away. Both of them like the glove much better, because it feels more like I'm just petting them normally. I can brush each of them for a couple minutes at a time without them getting annoyed now. I will say, it does seem to work better on my long-haired cat than on the shorthair. I think the long hairs are more easily gripped and stay on the glove better. When I brush my shorthair the hair comes off the cat but doesn't cling to the brush quite as well, so I end up with loose hairs floating around. It's a minor issue, just thought I'd mention it. I think a conventional brush is better at grabbing the fur and removes more quickly, but the glove is definitely more comfortable for the cats and this makes it much easier to brush them. Overall, I would say this is superior to a brush.

I can actually get it near him to brush him and he likes it, doesn’t pick up as much hair as I expected and what it does collect isn’t as easy to remove as the pictures would have you believe

This is great for your cats and if you have a fabric couch this is good too remove cat hair too.. It take a little finesse to brush the cats.. and you may get some cat hair on you as well.. but over all a good product.

Works well on the furniture but not on the pet.
