Well Made and Easy to Use
Finding exchange C02 cylinders for Soda Stream dispensers can be difficult right now and I was reluctant to try to refill my own as I had read so many reviews where people had issues doing it themselves. However, I was faced with either doing without fizzy water or figuring out how to refill my cannisters myself. I did way too much research and finally selected this product. I bought a 20-pound steel CO2 bottle (not from Amazon), got it filled and gave it a whirl. My first attempt wasn't entirely successful so I revised the instructions that came with the connector and it completely filled my Soda Stream cannisters quickly. Here's what worked for me:Instructions for Filling Soda Stream Cylinders1. Disconnect the black cylinder fitting (with the knurled black knob) from the hose by sliding the quick-disconnect sleeve (brass-colored, knurled) slightly.2. Ensure that the knurled black knob is backed off all the way before threading it onto the cylinder (turn the knob counter-clockwise until it stops – don’t force it).3. Thread the black cylinder fitting onto the cylinder by hand, making sure it’s snug.4. Tighten the knurled knob on the cylinder fitting all the way (clockwise) until it stops – don’t force it. A small amount of CO2 may escape. If a lot escapes, the cylinder wasn’t empty.5. Connect the hose to the Soda Stream cylinder by sliding the quick-disconnect sleeve back, pushing it onto the black cylinder fitting and then releasing the quick-disconnect sleeve.6. Make certain that the small silver bleed valve is closed by tightening it clockwise – don’t force it.7. Barely open the valve on the CO2 cylinder (the hand wheel is labeled ‘Open’ and ‘Closed’ with appropriate arrows). If the hand wheel on the CO2 cylinder is opened too quickly, a safety valve on the Soda Stream cylinder will close automatically and won’t fill. You’ll have to close the hand wheel on the CO2 cylinder and then open the small, silver bleed valve to let off pressure, then begin the process again, starting at number 7.8. You’ll be able to hear the CO2 passing from the CO2 cylinder to the Soda Stream cylinder. Very gradually, open the hand wheel on the CO2 cylinder until you no longer hear gas passing. Once all is quiet, close the hand wheel on the CO2 cylinder and turn the black, knurled knob on the Soda Stream cylinder fitting counter-clockwise until it stops.9. Open the small, silver pressure relief valve. Some gas will escape.10. Disconnect the hose from the black Soda Stream fitting.11. Remove the black Soda Stream fitting from the Soda Stream cylinder.12. An empty 60-liter Soda Stream cylinder will weigh about 650 grams. A full 60-liter Soda Stream cylinder will weigh about 950 grams.

No instructions, no support for defective product
Arrived in plastic bag with no instructions. An amazon user had posted a step-by-step that was well done but when I followed it, there was a leak at the connection to the sodastream bottle. Was unable to obtain product support, so returned the item.

Pretty Cool
You need to get a CO2 tank with a dip tube and a kitchen scale. The way I work this is open the valve on the line then open the valve on the soda stream bottle until it is just the faintest of a hiss. Then close the valve on the line and slowly as you can open the source tank. Doing it this way will prevent the soda stream fill stop valve from activating. I can get max 10 ounces fill but haven’t tried a canister from the freezer yet.
