ZAGG FPROBLK101 ZAGGkeys Profolio Case for Apple iPad 2nd and 3rd Generation, Black

ok I'm probably one of the most skeptical of people that look at reviews. i believe almost none and i usually search the worst first. Hopefully someone will see this 5 star and read it. firstly, the case is actually quite nice and durable. the pattern of fake leather actually looks kinda nice and others around me have said so as well. i was nervous about buying this one because i hadn't noticed if when you close it, if it will turn off my iPad and so far it has. So for the bluetooth function it paired very quickly and i have yet to have a problem with it. Very rarely do i have "lag" to where i type and nothing happens for a second and then all the words appear. its bluetooth and im realistic. The keyboard is obviously the size it has to bee but for me with big fat fingers its going to take a little bit to get used to but realistically it is not that bad and it has a lot of functions on it. The back light keys are just plain cool. i like the fact that i have 7 different options for color, red right now if you were wondering lol. The angle the screen sits is actually rather comfortable its not to upright or laying back to far. It is also sits in the designated slot well, it is not flimsy or feel like at any time it would fall out/over. The only con I can see so far is that it does not fold flat. If you flip it backwards to use the ipad in portrait, the cover does not fold around to the back flat. That didn't bothere because I plan on using it on the desktop so. Also have seen a few people say that the light around the keys was brighter than through the keys themselves. I have noticed this but I also have not had that big of issue with it. All around i really like this product and hope it continues to be as nice as it has been so far.

I love this! I've had several other keyboards to use with the ipad, but this one is absolutely tops! It's a very good protective cover, of course. But it's a great keyboard. Very easily syncs with ipad. Simply opens and slips into the little slot for a laptop-style use. You can even recline and little bit and it won't tip out of place. The keyboard action is divine! I type 100-wpm, and most keyboards these days are simply lacking if you can really really type. But this one has a nice "clicky" action, very responsive, never a problem. And the keys are laid out exactly like a regular keyboard--no hunting for keys--they're all where they should be. It it backlit, but I find no use for this. No problem--just shut off that function. I find the keyboard battery lasts a really long time. And it charges up very quickly. I love this. I hope it never dies. PS: I had the previous version of this, and a friend spilled coffee on it and did not tend to it quickly enough, so it died. But I had owned it for 3 years without a single problem.

I have owned all three colors of the Zagg Profolio+ which is a complete case and a back-lit keyboard. My iPad 4 is white. I originally went with a black one. After a lot of hard use, some of the framing that holds the ipad in place cracked and fell apart, causing my iPad not to stay in place. I've since ordered others for people and they improved the quality, so I think I had an earlier version. I still use the broken black one as an alternate keyboard for my iPhone. I bought a second one, white, the cover is leather, but it is textured leather and therefore has a bit of a felt-like or vevet finish. Typing on it now. It still works great, but I don't know what I was thinking getting white. It was clean for two-three days, I am a heavy user of my ipad it goes with me everywhere and it picks up dirt from everywhere. I have tried to clean it, with limited success. Rubbing a Magic Eraser sponge helped, but eventually I started rubbing off the leather. Never any problem with function or durability, but boy does it get dirty looking. When I am in a business meeting, I don't want to send out that kind of message - that I work with dirty technology. Very likely I could use sneaker white shoe polish, but it will be an ongoing issue. Big mistake to get white, as nice as it looks on a photo, it won't stay that way. So with a big meeting coming up, I decided to go buy a brown Zagg. It is leather, but a much more smoother finish, unlike the white or black. Has a bit of a sheen to it and I will clean it with leather cleaner to keep it conditioned. On the brown, or what I would call a dark camel, the keys are black, the background is s matt silver. Very pleased with how it looks! Keyboards have a nice touch and hold up during a lot of wear and tear. Zagg provides a very short USB to mini usb charger, but mini usb ports are common now and I have many longer cords that work to charge the keyboard.

Nice, only if it had backlighting but adds weight to your ipad

Bought this keyboard after reading the reviews on other websites. It has not disappointed. Battery life is excellent, although I use it longer per day than the manufacturer suggests would give the longest duration. Still, the battery on the keyboard outlasts the iPad's (mine's a 2nd gen) by many cycles. The back lit keys are a real help and their colour can be changed...I never bother. What is particularly helpful is that there are keys for a home button, volume control including mute and one to put the iPad to sleep (very handy). Other keys have useful functions too. It is easy to install the iPad in the Zaggkeys and to remove it. Useful if you have to 'share' your iPad with a child on a trip. This is a keyboard for a touch typist and I think it's the best of the class. I tried some at the Apple Store, but ordered this through Amazon on the basis of the reviews. It has only one niggle and that is that the angle of the iPad is fixed to one position, sometimes another angle would be helpful...but out of the box, the Zaggkeys Profolio Plus was so easy to get going, the feel of the keys is very good and the keyboard is solid. Highly recommended.

This case is really though and resistant. I have it for almost 2 years and it's still like new, even if I carry it everywhere in my backpack. The keyboard is nice and got all the features I need. Plus, it's backlit, which is convenient. For the battery, it holds charge for a long time and I only recharge it once or twice a month. I definitely recommend this product.
