Half the price of local parts store
The look, build quality makes this item a great value verses paying the local parts store. It’s half the price on Amazon. Installation was easy, and the seal ability of the filter is good.

A+++ Only one that Fit!!!!
The old owner had a Wix (cap and filter all in one) with a filter and no membrane. The OEM Ford filter alone has the Membrane. I tried Dorman 904-203 despite being told the lid would fit after buying 5 of them, it wouldn't fit. This part is useless without the White Surround fuel water Separator membrane. I bought the KN PF-4000 on here for $40 (Lid and Filter came separate) it fit perfectly. I did use my $20 OEM Ford Fuel Filter instead of K&N but it appears that K&N is the same if not better.

Good filter, not perfect.
The filter is NOT a canister style filter like shown in the photo. It is a standard pleated cartridge with the nonwoven prefilter and an attached cap. The filter fit fine and sealed up on the first try unlike most aftermarket filters, which leak like crazy unless cranked to maximum torque. The filter cap does not have a hex or square ratchet hole, so you either need the special Ford wrench or Channellocks or a band style filter wrench to tighten. Kind of dumb.

Finally
The media could not be loaded. After 2 AutoZone filters I was able to get one that fit my truck I have a 2000 f250 7.3 powerstroke and I tried the duralast one and a motor craft one but the cap didn’t work for the motor craft one and the duralast one wouldn’t fit so I tried this done and it was perfect didn’t need to crank on it for it to seal properly but don’t make the mistake I did drain the fuel bowl in the dirt lol

Finally one that works!!
This fuel filter is much better than any aftermarket fuel filter the chain autoparts stores sell. It fits perfectly with no leakage and no need to torque down on it to nearly the point of cracking the fuel bowl to get it to seal properly. There was an instant improvement in throttle response after changing it and going for a test drive. I had read somewhere that the elcheapos often times don't open all the way starving the engine of fuel due to their cheap out of spec construction. I believe this to be completely true now after trying a K&N version. Not only does it work properly like a factory Ford Motorcraft part does, it works even better because this is designed to flow even more fuel than a OEM stock fuel filter. That it does very well....the first time I punched it my 2002 F-250 Super Duty with the 7.3L Powerstroke and 157,000 miles on it came to life like it hasn't in years. It throws you back into the seat once again like it did years ago. I'm starting to think part of the culprit was those cheap junk aftermarket fuel filters I was using. My advice is use one of two....Ford Motorcraft OEM or a K&N. They work like they are supposed to.
