It didn’t spice at all but enhances all your Asian and non-Asian meals. I made some Asian noodle dish and my husband and I literally used half the jar. It was that good! It goes well on a wide variety of dishes, especially rice. My only disappointment is the low heat level. I don't like crazy-hot sauces, e.g., those made with Habaneros or Ghost Peppers. On the other hand this is a bit too mild for my taste.
