The Honest Company Shampoo, Body Wash, Conditioner, Lavender Calm, 20 fl oz

We’ve been buying The Honest Company Silicone-Free Conditioner for our daughters for the past 6–7 years, and it’s one of those products we always keep in our home. It smells wonderful, leaves their hair feeling soft, and gives us peace of mind knowing it’s made with gentle ingredients for little ones. While the bottle is a bit smaller than the matching body wash, a little goes a long way, so it still lasts a reasonable amount of time. After years of using it, I can confidently say it’s one of those must-have products for young children. It’s gentle, effective, and has been a great addition to our kids’ bath routine.

We love Honest shampoo and conditioner! We switched from salon brands to find a brand that has gentle ingredients and I was particularly seeking EDC (endocrine disrupting chemical) free products. Works well for detangling, is not heavy or greasy and moisturizes very well. Best feature is the affordable price! Saving a fortune from my old salon brands and getting really good treatment for my hair. Win-win!

I have a 15 month old who has frizzy, easily-knotted hair. When he wakes up in the morning or rolls around on the couch/floor, his hair is standing up on its end and even in the tub during shampooing, it becomes knotted on the ends and I have to gently comb it out. I used this Honest conditioner (the first product from Honest I’ve ever purchased) on his hair ONCE in the bath, and it was an immediate difference. His hair is soooo soft, lying flat on his head without being oily or greasy at all and his hair doesn’t seem to have that extreme static charge that makes it stick up. The smell of the conditioner (sweet cream) is exactly what I hoped for, a soft sweet scent that smells like vanilla cream you’d put in a coffee, without being too powerful to be a children’s product. My only concern is that this will somehow make my son’s skin irritated since it’s a new product in our routine, and my son sometimes gets eczema spots or rashes from various things. I don’t think this will give him a reaction though. Bonus points that these Honest products are rated highly for their safer ingredients compared to other products on the market. Since using the conditioner on his hair just last night, I have ordered the matching shampoo/body wash and detangling spray for added protection for his hair.

I like this conditioner better than its corresponding shampoo. I didn't fall in love with the smell but it's okay. It is nice and moisturizing, which I enjoy. I may or may not purchase again.

I've been using this conditioner on my baby, and I've been really happy with it so far. The scent is pleasant without being overpowering, and it leaves my baby's hair feeling soft and clean. I also noticed it seems to help with my baby's dry scalp, which was one of the main reasons I wanted to try it. I appreciate that it's gentle, tear-free, and made with baby-friendly ingredients. Overall, a great addition to our bath time routine.

••Long Review •••I am 47 years old and African-American and in my wiser years, I have become pretty obsessed with my health after seeing some of the impact and consequences of our diet & hair care practices in my fellow community. Our hair can be very challenging to work with and so most of us have grown up with either getting our hair pressed, which is a pretty traumatic experience when you’re a kid or getting relaxers, which are some of the most harmful chemicals that you can apply to your hair & scalp. After a recent healthcare scare, my OBGYn told me that I absolutely cannot get relaxers anymore & so I’ve started on the journey of just wearing my natural hair. I did not do a big chop, but instead just cut off my ends gradually until all of the perm grew out. I’m full year into my natural hair journey. I was watching Bobby Flav in YouTube and he was talking about all of the harmful chemicals that are home and health care products and that he has an app where you can scan the barcode and it will tell you if it’s approved or not and why. It is completely free and it’s called “Bobby Approved” and I would suggest that everyone get it. I will not name the name of the previous shampoo, conditioners, and leave in conditioners that I have used over the years, but when you think about all of the popular brands, there’s not a ton that African-Americans haven’t tried or currently use. I scanned all of my very expensive hair care products on this app and to my horror, NONE of them were approved & all contained very harmful chemicals. Cut to Jessica Alba’s Honest Brand; all of her products are approved by the app and I remembered her saying that she created the company when she had her first daughter, Honor. Of course, I never tried them because I believed that they would not work for my type of hair. Since this product was so affordable, I thought what do I have to lose and I purchased the lavender shampoo and body wash and conditioner, and her detangling spritz. The shampoo is light and it smells amazing. The conditioner has amazing slip. I was so surprised that I finger detangle 4 sections after just a couple of minutes. This just never happens with the products that I currently use, I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone! I normally have to let the conditioner sit for several minutes & combine it with another one before I can start the very long process of detangling it. I was able to easily comb through the 4 sections in the shower. After applying the detangler spray to towel dried hair m, I finished detangling my entire head in less than ten minutes. This is normally an hour long, painful experience, that is very frustrating & tear inducing. 😭 My hair & scalp feel so light & clean & $22 is about a tenth of what I normally pay for hair care products. I feel like I have my life back & I am giving both her & Bobby air hugs!!❤️❤️❤️Thanks for reading & hanging in there with me. Smells great, works perfectly in my childs hair. Je has lots of hair, it detangles in seconds as it washes out. Hair feels lovely and soft.

This is probably the best conditioner I've ever used. I bought it for my daughter and a pea sized amount goes a long way and makes her hair silky. I tried it on myself and it was way better then my conditioner. I'll probably start using this. It's a little expensive but you need way less of it as it actually works. Best part is there is zero scent and I'm very sensitive to scents, especially in hair products.

Super cute pump! Did not come with a protective seal so if you’re worried about that here’s your disclaimer. Consistency is of a thin lotion, like the one from cerve specifically. All fragrance products have a smell, even though there is no fragrance, this one smells okay. SUPER faint smell of wood or something nature like that. I would say it’s quite pleasant, unlike some other fragrance products that smell like an old warehouse.
