Decent spicey Masala Chai for daily use.

This is my 3rd time of purchasing this tea. I love the slim light reflective pouch that it comes in, which allows the tea to keep its freshness and aroma for weeks. Every cup is beautiful and fragrant. My colleagues at work always ask what I am drinking because it smells so nice. There is no bitterness just gentle notes of all the ingredients flavours. The texture is like tea with the addition of gently ground spices. They spices are not powdered down like cheap teas. So they release their flavours beautifully. This brand in my opinion is top quality and the health benefits are fabulous on your system. My daily go to tea and brand.

I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by the rich Cardamom tasting Masala chai taste. That word "Kadak" means brisk flavor. If you ask me it tastes like "street vendor" style "Masala Chai" (Black tea) you get on the roadside on Indian highways. I thought I would share this with fellow Amazon shoppers. Very rarely you will find these sorts of refreshing tasting tea during rest stops on the roadside as you ride on your bike on the outskirts of the cities and this Masala Chai taste is one of them for sure!Generally my wife makes this style of tea at home sometimes, But it requires her to heat regular Lipton black Tea Bags in Microwave with little bit of Milk, crushed fresh cardamom with little bit of clove and some other secret ingredients that she does not disclose :-). After that she needs to drain the tea using a filter so that Cardamom pieces and other ingredients are not present in the cup and by the time all this fiasco ends the time taken would generally be 10-15 mins. Yep! I must admit that it does taste good when she makes it at home as she uses very "fresh ingredients" to make it. But it happens very rarely at home due to the time it takes to prepare it.Overall, what I am trying to say is it takes considerable amount of effort to make good tasting Masala Cardamom Chai at home. But this Udyan Kadak Masala Chai product has that same "pleasantly refreshing" taste and took less than few minutes to make as all the ingredients required to make tasty Masala Chai is already present in the pouch. You do need to boil couple of teaspoons of the ingredients along with milk and let it sit there for few mins by covering them with a lid as you do not want the aroma to escape. After that, you need to filter the loose leaf tea with a Tea strainer and add sugar to taste. Ahhh! Masala Chai...Pricing is competitive. Five stars! rating for a well packaged vacuum sealed and comes with resealable pouch for keeping the loose leaf tea fresh for few weeks.

This comes in an upscale outer bag, open that and you'll pull out paperwork on how to brew tea, several samples of other flavors (none of which appeal to me), and another lower-quality vacuum packed bag with the loose tea in it. The inner bag looks very generic, label is falling off and it just looks like something I'd find at a discounted-discount store. The Masala Chai is very flavorful. I used the same amount I always do when I brew loose tea and it filled the cup with a dark amber color and enticing aroma. The tea tastes great.

I love Masala Chai with cream and maple syrup. It’s one of my go-to comfort hot drinks. I’m always delighted to find a new brand of it. This one is a winner!I take exception to the claim that this bag will make 100 cups of tea. Maybe if you’re making six ounce cups, but most of us don’t. I also like my tea strong and I used two tablespoons to steep a 20 ounce mug of tea, so I’ll be using this up quickly. That’s okay because I will buy it again!The price is good for a high quality tea. It is beautifully spiced, unlike so many of the tea brands that sell Chai as a teabag. This is really wonderful, rich cardamon flavor, just a good traditional Masala Chai.I’m no aficionado so I can’t tell you what it’s redolent of or speak in the language of the connoisseur. I AM a Chai lover and have been for years and just say, “Delicious.” Highly aromatic. Good black tea. Great spices.And the packaging is stellar. I love the vacuum sealed bag. I also loved getting tea samples from this brand to try out. This was a delightful package to get! A great gift tea for your friend who’s a tea lover or for yourself. The price is fair and good considering there are now quite a number of tea companies selling tea at astronomical prices now that so many of us started drinking gourmet teas at home. I would expect to pay much more than twelve dollars for this tea. It’s FRESH taking and as I would prefer to buy locally, my local tea shop’s teas are never fresh tasting.If you like Masala Chai, I highly recommend it. And if you have never had it with maple syrup, I recommend that too! ;-)
