Aroma Housewares NutriWare 14-Cup (Cooked) Digital Rice Cooker and Food Steamer, White

We purchased the Aroma Nutriware rice maker about 2 years ago. I wanted to replace an older, large rice maker that had a badly beat up aluminum bowl with a smaller footprint unit. At first, I was intrigued by rice makers that could cook any rice countless ways. I found myself getting sucked down the hole of reviewed 4+ star units that had many buttons, tons of cooking options, and, of course, high prices.. I forgot that all that was wanted was a simple, no hassle rice maker that worked without complaint. I settled on this brand because we were very happy with our current 5-year-old Aroma rice maker. White and brown rice always came out well, and the accompanying cookbook had a recipe for chili that was quickly adapted as our go to simple meal. The downside with the old rice maker was the non-stick aluminum bowl became very scratched up, though we always used proper utensils. Realizing this, I adapted my search to include a semi destruction proof bowl where non-stick coatings would not be included, over time, with our meals. I chose well. White, (20 minutes) and brown rice, (90 minutes), taste great though brown rice, (not frequently made in this household), takes a very long time to cook. There are accurate measurements inside the cooking bowl that make adding the proper water amount to dry rice ez. The stainless-steel bowl still looks brand new after many times using, sautéing, stirring, and cleaning. I mention cleaning because this is not a non-stick bowl, no special coatings that promise to let food slide off. Food does stick to the bottom. A soaking followed by scrubbing is necessary after use. Still, we are extremely happy with this rice. You could drive yourself crazy looking at all the super-duper multi-option rice makers with high price tags and a hefty instruction book, (show off pieces for your friends?), or buy this. The Aroma Nutriware is ez to use, does what it promises to do, and on the side, makes great chili.

I selected and purchased the Aroma Housewares NutriWare 14-Cup (Cooked) Digital Rice Cooker and Food Steamer after hours and hours of research on Amazon. I thought long and hard about spending $60.00 for a rice cooker. But I pushed the "buy now button" and decided. This rice cooker an "investment." The selling points for me were reading that the "inner pot is composed solely of food grade 304 stainless steel. And it's 14 cups of cooked rice capacity! The Aroma Housewares NutriWare 14-Cup (Cooked) Digital Rice Cooker and Food Steamer is perfect for me to make one pot "rice cooker recipes" I've seen on a video channel. I am also excited to cook an entire healthy meal in one pot! No more countless numerous pots and pans to load in the dishwasher after making a meal! Yay! I am an active 69 year old woman. The Aroma Housewares NutriWare 14-Cup (Cooked) Digital Rice Cooker and Food Steamer is my kitchen helper superhero!!! WooHoo! I have made rice twice it did not stick. I am thrilled with the my purchase! The Aroma Housewares NutriWare 14-Cup (Cooked) Digital Rice Cooker and Food Steamer is well made and it's easy to use. I repeat the inner pot that is food grade 304 stainless steel. It feels solid when I hold it. If this rice cooker had a sound, it would be like that "thud." Heard when closing a luxury car door! Great job Aroma! I will recommend the Aroma Housewares NutriWare 14-Cup (Cooked) Digital Rice Cooker and Food Steamer, to my friends and family.

I gave this rice cooker five stars because it does everything I thought it would do, it's well made, and it cooks beautifully. I wanted this rice cooker because it is stainless steel and does not have plastic that can contaminate food. It cooks rice perfectly-I cook black rice and brown rice. It does a super job with oatmeal. I was so tired of my steel cut oats boiling over if I didn't stand at the stove monitoring it. I followed the directions in the enclosed booklet and I had perfect oats without the boil over. It is easy to clean. Just follow the directions. It is sturdy and has great little rubber feet that keep it securely put. The stirrer I received with my cooker was made of bamboo which I also love so there are no worries about using it with hot food. The steamer basket is also stainless. This size is perfect for me. The cord is a decent length and I can reach a plug without a problem no matter where I put the unit on the counter. This is the first rice cooker I have owned, but it is so well made that I will have it for a long time. It stays on my counter because I use it often and it looks beautiful so need need to hide it. It heats up quickly so I often use it rather that my ceramic cook top stove. I've had this cooker a month so I haven't used it for all the things it is capable of doing but plan on doing more. The directions are good enough that you should be able to convert your recipes to using the rice cooker. I think sometimes people don't follow directions and don't have good results. Be sure that you use the enclosed cup or follow the direction on using other cups and it will work fine. I would buy more products from this company because the item is accurately represented and well made.

I have been using the Aroma NutriWare 14-Cup Digital Rice Cooker for about a month now. I feel like I am ready to make a review. I am very detail oriented when I review a product. You may find this review useful. Pros -the stainless steel removable insert is really great for cleanup even when rice gets burnt on. -the small profile of the cooker doesn't take up much counter space and looks great -cooks rice just right and transitions to keep warm rather well (once you figure it out)* Cons -the rice cooker does tend to spew a lot of water/rice starch onto the counter while cooking -using the steamer insert to avoid spewing on the counter creates just one more thing to wash Other thoughts -I was trying less water so it would not spew all over the counter top but that would just burn the rice and transition poorly over to the warm function. -I ended up using the steamer insert to give extra height to the lid so that I could use more water...therefore not burning the rice before it transitions over to the keep warm function. See picture. ( I know there are probably ways to avoid the boil over by adding certain ingredients or managing your rice differently) -now I get a perfect pot of rice ever time without the mess. I just have one more item to wash when I'm done. Over all I still like the rice cooker. If you guys design a better lid with a stainless steel pot you would get 5 stars ever time. because of this inherent situation that I have to work around to get my rice just right...I did take one star away.

Update on 3/9/26 Got an email update today, ~3 months after submitting the warranty inquiry. Not sure if it could still be any helpful. If anyone is looking for a rice cooker with a stainless steel pot, I'd recommend the Elite Gourmet model instead (current model# ERC-2020). Side notes: this Aroma model is very low power 500W, okay for cooking rice but the saute/stir-fry is far from desirable. The EG one is 1200W, cooks very fast. ===original review=== Been using the smaller 6-cup version for a few months (purchased back in 05/25), and liking the stainless steel pot, so I bought this 14-cup version in 08/25. After 1.5 month or so the breaker tripped. Couldn't find anything wrong so I reset the breaker, everything continues. Soon I smelled burn plastic from the rice cooker. Found out a screw terminal in the bottom compartment of the cooker probably came loose, and burned everything around. It has passed the 1 month return window, so the only hope was manufacturer warranty. Zero. Submitted an inquiry on their website, got an automated email saying in queue. No further response after 2 months. Tried to use the extended warranty from credit card; refused with reason manufacturer's warranty first. Oh well, learn the lesson, and move on I guess. Other than the burned terminal, the overall quality is also sub-par. Very thin metal, fragile plastic feet joints, screw holes don't line up very well, just bare screw through very thin metal. Not really worth the price (bought it because it was the only stainless steel option with the simple traditional style). I would recommend the Elite Gourmet model instead of this Aroma model (the EG is also stainless steel, available months after I bought the Aroma). Price is a lot lower but better overall quality.

Not pure white, but slightly off white. I bought this one and the smaller version (6 cup Aroma which is perfect size for two people); the colors are definitely different, the smaller one is pure white... if that matters. But because of it's performance, I couldn't care less. I bought these two so I could make sushi rice for a dinner party I was having. Both performed perfectly. I just decided to try something in this one...Rice-a-Roni. Used the Saute/Simmer function to brown it per the package instructions - takes longer than skillet but no burned rice because I walked away. Then put the seasoning and water in, set it to white rice function, put the top on and walked away. Took a nice, hot, leisurely shower and came back to perfect rice and no mess. Like most of you who are looking at this rice cooker, I got rid of my old aluminum pan one for health reasons. Then i bought a $200 one from the Asian market, only to find it impossible to clean. Ater that I had been making my rice in my instant pot, which has a steel inner pot. But that was such a hassle - it took too long to make and clean up after - that I just didn't make rice that often. Now, with these two, I can see I'll be making it quite often due to ease of use and cleanup. Growing up in a house where there was only minute rice, I did not know until recently that you need to rinse rice...I know - ewwwww! After reading reviews on rice washing bowls, I saw several that said just wash the rice right in the cooker's bowl. Surprisingly, the rice stays together and doesn't drip out with the water. The washing helps keep the foam down, and thus minimize the spewing out the steam hole. Next, stainless steel is like cast iron, as you cook with it the metal molecules expand and absorb cooking oil, then become slicker as you use it. I use coconut oil to coat my stainless pots before cooking and yes, it does cloud the rice rinse water. But no sticking, no discoloration! And one more thing: do not use your standard 1 cup measure from your drawer to measure the rice. The 'rice cup' that comes with all rice cookers is actually 3/4ths US cup. This could account for reviewers having issues with burning and sticking. Lastly, both the cookers have beautiful encapsulated bottomed pans like really good cookware. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go have some awesome Rice-a-Roni!

We bought this item on Amazon exactly 10 years ago, and to this day we are still using the same rice cooker. It looks and functions the exact same as the day we bought it; the stainless steel pot did not tarnish at all and even if it did the material is easy to clean. We are an Asian family and we use DAILY. It is extremely easy to clean this compared to other rice cookers and it is extremely easy to use. Cooks rice in about 20 minutes which is standard and although the rice can stick to the bottom if you measure it wrong, it can easily be cleaned just by soaking and scrubbing it without any stains. 10/10 one of the best kitchen purchases I have made in my life. Highly recommend it for people who want something that is easy to use, easy and quick to clean, and durable and long lasting.

After trying different brands of rice cookers, I decided to go back to the basic. To avoid non stick inert pot rice cookers, stainless steel is my to go version to keep my family with less chemical harm. I was skeptical and worry the 14 cup rice cooker will be too big. It turns out it’s perfect size for a family of four. And it’s so cute. Even though the cool rice texture is slightly harder than the smart one, but I can survive with that by feeling safe to have our rice everyday. Surprisingly, the pot isn’t much rice stick on the bottom. And it’s yum if you can use boiling water to simmer a minute the sticky bottom. You will find the rice soup is very tasty. Highly recommend! No need to go for hundreds for a fancy one. Basic simple cute are all in one.

Poxa, que importante e útil aquisição. Muito tranquilo, bem rápido e fácil de limpar. Faz tudo sozinho, a quantidade de agua já vem descrito. Eu, no arroz com grãos coloco também um pouco de azeite, que fica mais um pouco mais macio e não tão seco. Vou parar por aqui porque estou ficando com fome. Este modelo é um pouco maior e vale a pena. Atenção é 110v, eu comprei um transformador que é bem barato.

The product stopped working after using a few times. I bought it because the inner pot is stainless steel. I will not recommend this product.

Excellent rice cooker! Cooks, sautes and steams. I steamed wild salmon fillet with basmati rice. Total cooking time was roughly 40 minutes (beeps at the end of cooking), including the time it took to heat up the unit. Easy cleanup. I just soaked it with soapy water for half an hour or so. Rice does stick to the bottom, although I've only been cooking individual portions. I'd purchase again. Highly recommended!

Bought in 2023 and in use until now once or twice a day every day… Its a great product.
