Good and clear display
Bright and large displays of internal and external temperatures, as well as current time. Other features are also constantly visible when using the supplied transformer. It was very easy to set up. The time is set automatically, and I found that it connects quickly and reliably to Newentor sensors as well as the one that is included in the pack. We consider it to be a great product at a good price.

I bought this "weather station" one year ago exactly. I wanted to measure temperature inside and outside. I compared the readings with a regular mercury thermometer and it is pretty accurate. I had read reviews about other brands and there were complaints that the outside (or remote) sensors "ate batteries", and that they needed to replace it frequently. This one did not have such remarks. I bought it and I never changed the batteries, so one year on and it is still measuring the temperature. The main unit has to be connected to a socket, does not work on battery. It is still needs to be in a covered area (no direct rainfall), but I think that is reasonable, for the price paid. The time is updated automatically by radio. It looks good, the flashing clouds on the main display are not necessary, but they do not compromise the rest. The image is quite clear and one can see it from afar, even if at an angle. It does show the fases of the moon which I like. The thing it does not do is have minimum and maximum temperatures over 24h, which would be a nice feature. Overall, very happy with the product and would advice getting one if you are looking for battery life, accurate readings and moon fases.

Very good product. But ...
I have had the YC9441 weather station for just over a month and it continues to work fine. It was easy to setup and linked to the external sensor without problem. The YC9441 gives a good, clear, colourful display showing all features as described: time, date, internal and external temperature and humidity and pressure. The one disapointment concerns the animation of the Forecast and Pressure displays. The Forecast display can be distracting especially when it shows white clouds flicking from one side to the other of the display window. For Pressure, the animation is just wrong. It shows 7 readings for pressure over the previous 24 hours, that is, the pressure at 3 hour intervals which is fine. But the display undates continuously. This means the you cannot simply glance at the display to see the pressure trend, you have to wait for it to update and you only see the 24 hour history for an instant before it clears the display and starts the update again. The display of the pressure history should be visible at all times and it needs only to update every 3 hours.

Good functional weather forecast station
This weather forecast station is a birthday present for a long term friend, I purchased it as I already have a similar one by the same company that has proven to be absolutely spot on for me and I knew if anything works for me regarding weather forecast stations then it would work well for someone else . The feedback I've had has been very positive hence the 5 star rating, rating it otherwise is more down to my experience using and enjoying my own version but I'd guess the buid quality, colour display and signal strength ( like mine this one benefits from the clock time is set by being radio controlled) is ok, also I believe that the way the information onscreen is displayed is acceptable . I don't currently know if the main unit has batteries installed as a power supply backup but the unit runs best from the mains as like my version this gives a permanent lit display so no having to go up to it and pressing a button to read the display and the display can be dimmed anyway if its too bright, so far, so good! Hopefully that how it stays - going on my version I'm expecting it will.

Very good piece of kit
There are a lot of weather stations on Amazon in the ยฃ40-ยฃ60 price range so picking one can be a b it bewildering. After spending some time reading all the descriptions and the reviews I went for this Youshiko YC9441. These weather stations all do pretty much the same thing. In the end the two things that swung it for me where the display and, more importantly, the fact the time is set up to run off a British signal rather than the German one. The latter seems quite common. Having he UK time signal means the clock sets itself and you don't have to adjust it when GMT becomes BST and vice versa. Setting it up was a doddle. It comes with a power lead and three pin plug but I am using a USB to barrel connector so that it doesn't hog a socket in the kitchen. I put two AAA batteries in the outside sensor and put it under the eaves of the garden shed. The sensors is not waterproof, as it needs to register humidity, so it needs to be out of direct rain and sun. After hat I just plugged in the weather station and left it. Within an hour it had picked up the time signal and the outside temperature was being displayed correctly. That as it. You really need to keep it plugged into the mains to get the best of it because, when running on batteries only, the display cuts out to save power. It has a nice clear display and I particularly like the graphic for moon phases. The only downside in my view is hat it does not give sunrise and sunset times. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with it.

So many missed opportunities
Initially I was impressed. Nice large colourful display. Then .... Fix it to the wall? can't use the mains cable as it doesn't lay flat (could have even put a little cut out in the casing to cure this) - what a simple missed opportunity, or you can have the screen sticking out from the wall and the cable running down the wall to the nearest socket (after you have moved something else to make this socket free!). It's alright it runs on the batteries - well, no it doesn't. You have to press a button and the screen comes on for 15 secs - doesn't say that in the sales blurb does it - and now it is on the wall it is a stretch to reach the button. You can see this 'feature' in the instruction manual if you can read the small faint print. Why does it say, I quote the info, 'Power source Battery Powered' It would have been nice to include sunrise and sunset times. Min/max temperatures are available if you can find the right button - you have to try all the buttons as that bit on the instructions is even fainter. I am sure there are more features but I can't read the instructions. There is lots of sales blurb about the forecasting ability but the manual says 'use your local weather forecasting station' for accuracy. Manual says batteries included, box says not included (they were not included) So many missed opportunities but what really annoys me is that I carefully picked one that ran on batteries and am now very disappointed. I don't usually do bad reviews but felt that these faults needed pointing out

All very good !!
Easy to set up, accurate and love the colours. Clocked connect with radio within minutes. Pnly thing to mention was the remote initially connected to channel 1, will not connect, I switched it to channel 2 then all is well.

Pretty good weather station
Seems to be reasonably accurate (I compared readings to an old weather station we were replacing), good display, no trouble in detecting outside sensor. The weather and pressure displays are animated so this could be a distraction if the station is in a line of sight.
