Very pleasantly surprised!
I'm a self-described sunglasses nerd. I've owned dozens of pairs of sunglasses over the years and I'm VERY fussy, especially when it comes to lenses. So when my beater glasses (my beloved Revo Crux C shades) finally got too smudged and scratched to be of use anymore, I went looking for something affordable but still good. My Revos eventually succumbed to sweat and oils, which worked their way into the micro pores of the polycarbonate lenses, producing a haze which I couldn't get rid of, no matter how many well I cleaned them. So my criteria this time around was GLASS lenses, not polycarbonate (plastic). I'm not opposed to plastic lenses per se... they have their place in the world and have certain advantages, such as being lighter in weight and naturally blocking UV light, even before the UV treatment is applied. But this time, since I was looking for shades that could take sweat and sunscreen being dripped on them, as I'll be using them working outside around the house, I opted for glass lenses, under the assumption that they would be easier to clean. Most shades with glass lenses are fairly expensive though. I didn't want to spend a lot, since these will be subject to abuse and harsh conditions. So I figured I'd give these a try, honestly not expecting much. WOW, was I pleasantly surprised! When I put them on, I almost yanked them off again to check and make sure I wasn't sent a pair of Smith Techlites instead. The view through these lenses is startlingly crisp, clear, and pleasant. I ordered black frames with G-15 lenses, which are fairly neutral with a slight greenish tint. The literature claims they allow 12% light transmission, which is fairly dark, but compared to other lenses they don't appear super dark. Lack of clarity can contribute to a false perception of darkness, so my theory is that because these are so clear, the world appears a little brighter than it would when looking through cheaper lenses with the same transmission rate. There are numerous ways to measure lens performance, but without getting too technical, these just jumped into my number 2 favorite glass among brands I've tried: 1) Smith Techlite 2) These (with Corning G-15) 3) Ray Ban Chromance silver mirror 4) Ray Ban Chromance blue 5) Serengeti 555nm 6) Persol blue polarized 7) Costa 580g grey 8) Persol blue non-polarized The frames are pretty good quality as well. Nothing special, but they appear sturdy and the hinges are reasonably robust. I wouldn't expect any problems. Stylish? No, not really, but then again, no wraps are stylish. Show me a pair of wraps and I'll show you a dude who thinks he looks cool but, in reality, very definitely does not. Trust me, I was that dude for years. That being said, wraps do have some things going for them - they are more protective, both from flying debris, as well as sunlight sneaking in around the perimeter. So they're great for working outside, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Just try not to wear them in public unless you want to look like a dufus. Fit wise, they hug tight to the face. I have kind of a large head and somewhat flat face, so I often have trouble with glasses bumping the tops of my cheeks. These do that a little bit, but it's not bad and thus tolerable enough that I'm definitely going to keep them. With a vague name like BNUS, I was expecting them to be made in China and dumped on Amazon. But they claim to be "Italy made" and the parent company (Bini Optics) seems to be based in Chicago. So whatever. Somebody apparently got the idea to produce decent quality frames and outsource lens production to Corning. Frankly, this was a stroke of brilliance. I'll definitely be checking out some of their other models. My only advice to the company would be to change their name... what kind of a name is BNUS??

Just the best…
I have 3 pairs of these in different configurations. They fit me well as a woman hat size 6 7/8, 5’5” tall. My eyes are extremely sensitive to the sun and these do the trick for me. I love the real glass lens which are the only thing I will ever buy again. I drive long distances, ride horses and fly a small plane. The polarized are not good with the windshield of some planes which already have a sun protection system close to polarization, it made things fuzzy and hard to focus on small tasks! They all came with great carrying cases which I use. The glasses look nice on, very comfortable, classy and don’t make you look like you came from an SNL skit… :)

Great Eye Protection for those Sunny Days!
love that they are corning glass super clear and make sunny days comfortable! The polarized protection makes me feel good about protecting my sensitive eyes. I like the black frame and lenses best and the extended eye protection. as for durability well that's another story, this is my third pair in a few years. One pair the glass lens broke after I dropped them on the floor. Another pair the side snapped off and broke off so it was not fixable. They are a bit on the heavy side but I don't mind. Overall I recommend them

You will get your moneyʻs worth...
I am not a paid or otherwise compensated purchaser. These are among the best sunglasses I have had, and that includes Italian-made Serengetis. The lenses provide great protection and the polarization makes objects in the sea easy to spot. They fit my smaller face/head and the case and accessories were a nice bonus. I had them for many months, and just ordered a second non-polarized pair to see if they are better for walking and driving. Why am I buying a second pair - because my very heavy SUV ran over these. I have to say, the lenses shattered safely and half of the frame was intact. The frames were so strong that it felt like I was going over a curb, not a weak pair of glasses.

Game changer - get back the HD world they took from you.
I was wondering what happened to the world. Everything became less defined, dull. What happened was everything switched to plastic, and plastic for glasses is hideous. It cannot be made clear and crisp, even the most expensive acrylic has optical distortion. The very second I put these on (B-15 Polarized) it was amazing, like the old days before plastic sloppification took place. I compared them to my $250.00 Maui Jims and these blew them away. This is another thing they took from us folks - glass, and we've been suffering since. Plastic is always worse than glass, and there is no way to make plastic as good regardless of what they claim. I prefer B-15 because I have contrast sensitive eyes with some damage. Many people like G-15 which is colder. Remember, the world was more 'orangish' for most of humanity until the modern age due to the organic matter, tree phytoncides, and mostire in the air from trees/organic matter. Over time everything became more blue. This is why old paintings often show orange/yellowish skies. This is why B-15 feels so good and dramatically raises the contrast of the world around you. G-15 Cool/neutral green-gray Most natural color balance Calm, less “tinted” Great for bright sun, beach, aviation Best “safe for everyone” choice Can feel cold/flat to some people B-15 Warm brown/amber Higher perceived contrast/depth Makes scenery “pop” Excellent for driving, overcast weather, foliage Often feels richer/more relaxing Less color-neutral

Great Glass Lens Sunglasses
Let me start by saying I really like these polarized glass lens sunglasses from B.N.U.S. I recently bought my 6th pair because I liked them so much I wanted them in each color. The latest one is the tortoise shell frame with the blue lens. I now have a pair in each color that comes with the glass lens. I own at least 30 other pairs of quality sunglasses from almost every major brand, going back to a pair of original Revo's I bought in the early 90's, several pairs of Maui Jim's some also going back more than 25 years and some purchased within the last year, several pairs of Oakley's also both new and old, and a bunch of Ray Bans. A few other miscellaneous brands as well, most costing between $200-$400. I always look first for glass lens because of the clarity and because of the scratch resistance. Once my lens have a scratch, I usually use it as a reason to look for a new pair. I ran across these B.N.U.S Corning Glass lens last year and I really like them. For the price (averaging around $70, but catching sales that brought a couple into the $60 range, I sincerely believe they are as good as almost any of the other ones I have, and better than some, especially when you consider these are upwards of 60% cheaper than some of my more expensive glasses. So, yes. I recommend this line of B.N.U.S sunglasses. I also want to comment on their customer service. The downside of glass lenses is they definitely will crack when they hit the cement from head high at the wrong angle. Unfortunately, this just happened with my newest pair, hardly a month old. I contacted B.N.U.S through the Amazon website, and they worked with me to quickly get a replacement pair. It arrived within 3 days after I contacted them. That deserved my taking the time to write one of my rare reviews. Thank you B.N.U.S.

Nice optics, but the frames keep cracking.
I've had two pairs of these and the frames on both pairs broke. The first pair lasted less than a month, and the 2nd pair was good for about 8 months. I never sat on them or did anything that would damage the frames other than taking them on/off my face. It seems the plastic is just brittle and prone to cracking. Other than that, I liked them. The polarized lenses are great. Very clear and I didn't have any major scratches with them after many months. If they could just make frames that don't crack I would buy again..
