I have tried most of the British "high-end" shaving creams ...
I have tried most of the British "high-end" shaving creams such as DR Harris, Trumpers, Truefitt and Hill and Castle Forbes. In my opinion, once you adjust the water to cream ratio they perform similarly. So it really comes down to which scent you prefer and Windsor, along with Truefitt's 1812 are the ones I choose most often. Of course, the scent from shaving cream alone doesn't last long so if you want a more lasting scent you will probably combine the cream with the matching cologne or aftershave.

My New Favorite
I've tried a number of similar creams and find this one superior: a pleasant not overwhelming scent, lathers thickly with a brush, and delivers a fine smooth close shave.

Makes me glad to return to wet shaving with a double edge safety razor
A really great shaving cream. Makes a very good lather, quiet and gentle scent. Lubricates the face well. Makes me glad that I have gone back to wet shaving with a double edge or safety razor. I'll try a couple more brands as well, but this one already makes me happy. I have used it for a month now, and I am so happy to be rid of my cartridge razor. No more razor burns, no red bumps, nothing. I use a good quality boar bristle brush, too, and that makes a tremendous difference. At first I used an inexpensive brush from Walgreens, and that was a disappointment. So if you use a cheap or artificial brush, don't blame the shaving creme. Get a good brush, which will last longer anyway.I've also ordered more blades from Amazon. In any local drug store the blades are 50-70 cents apiece, which is cheaper than $4 per Gilette cartridge, but not as good as 20 cents from Amazon or other online specialists in double edge shaving gear.
