Fits perfectly on my 6qt. Feels just as good/heavy as the original. Easy to replace.

For the second time we had to rebuild my Kitchen-Aid mixer. I make a lot of breads so my mixer gets a workout when I use it. I could hear the gear slipping and knew what needed to be done. My son ordered the parts and jumped into it. He replaced the gear and the bushing, packed it with food grade lubricant and it works as good as brand new.

Their gear does not mesh well and is very noisy! Since I bought 4 of them, I wanted to make sure it wasn't another gear or bearing, so I ran a couple of their gears (yes, they were grease) with just the motor, they were very loud (I also tested them with a different motor, same results. Not only are gear teeth sharp and don't mesh the worm part of the gear is sharp with leaves room for slop in meshing with the worm gear follower. The front and rear bearing shafts on the gear are also rough and the bearings don't slide on smoothly. I've been doing KitchenAid's for many years, and this particular gear has been an issue even with the OEM gear, but these are the worst I've ever seen. It's a waste of of money and time.

Gears seem to match the originals for fit and function. Time will tell how they wear.

I thought my wife’s mixer had mixed its last batch of dough. I was able to repair it in short order. Make sure and order some food grade grease as well when making the repair.
