An incredible value
These wheels are fantastic. I've had them on my 1993 Toyota MR2 (17x8 fronts 18x9 rears) for about five months, and it's been impossible to regret the purchase. The painted matte bronze finish doesn't look cheap, and the flow-formed design gives the barrel a lot of strength and lightness that you won't find on a regular cast wheel. I've had no issues with rim bending during a couple of incidents; I only have difficulties with the ensuing heart attack while a particularly harsh pothole shatters my spine. This has only happened a couple times, though. Acceleration seems close enough to what the stock 15" alloy wheels could enable, but cornering performance has gone up from the extra width on these Motegi wheels (which is aided by the near-stock scrub radius on the fronts). It's a lot of fun, and the positive effect should be even more pronounced if your stock alloy wheels are already 17 or 18 inches. A clean five spoke design with this kind of weight and strength almost never comes in at a price this low, so I would entirely recommend these if they seem to fit your needs.

Exactly as described
No negatives so far. Very lightweight compared to my stock rims on my forester (going from ~26 lbs to ~17 lbs), which I was able to notice in the handling in several ways.

Motegi MR131
The only thing youโll dislike about these wheels is youโll need tuner lugs since your stock ones are too big to fit. They are easily clear the STI Brembo calipers, but Iโm also running 20mm Subispeed forged spacers for that extra aggressive look, so they sit with a +25 offset, which looks perfect imo, other than that they are super light, an estimated 20 lbs a piece, not forged obviously but flow formed for strength and lightness and for the price itโs a win/win situation. Now you may think that these wheels are Japanese, they are not. They are made in China and Motegiโs have been around for a long time now and are just part of a bigger umbrella company. My theory is these wheels are called Motegi because of the Twin Ring Motegi Racetrack in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan and thatโs why they have these Traklite models.

Poor Quality Control
I have owned a set of these for nearly two years and love them! ...Until a few days ago when I accidentally clipped a curb to avoid a cat in the road. I was going about 30mph and the rim seemed to bend very easily. When hitting the curb. It bent so far that the inside of the rim cracked rendering it unusable. The rim itself didn't even contact the curb directly as there's not even a scratch on the rim. Because of this experience, I can't speak much on how strong they actually are. So rather than buy a whole other set of rims, I figured it would be cheaper and easier to just replace the one. I order the extra rim from Amazon (same place as before, probably just a different seller) and well, it just doesn't match. The color is off in a way that it looks like they turned the saturation down or something. The old rim is a very deep, golden bronze and I loved that about the rims. That color was exactly what I was looking for. But this new one does not match and it is driving me crazy. I will probably go ahead and have the new rim installed just so I can have my car back. Then I'll order another of this same rim from somewhere else off amazon and once that arrives and is hopefully a matching color, I will just be returning this mismatched one. This is very disappointing.

These wheels look so good ๐
Hated the factory wheels on the Yota I just bought as a commuter car due to insane gas prices, but didn't want to lose MPG from the switch to a 17 from the factory aluminum 15's. I did a ton of research and found it frustratingly hard to locate the wheel weight from manufacturers on their wheels. Apparently it's not a big deal to people these days... It sure was when I was racing cars 15 years ago! Anyway these were very light for the price and I ended up getting very close to the factory wheel tire combo as far as total weight. I've seen zero change in MPG and the car looks so much better. Thanks for offering a great product at a good price.

Super light wheels. Great Deal!
I can only say good things about this set up. I have a 2012 G37x sport sedan which comes with OEM 18x7.5s all around. I upgraded to these 18x9s and shed 5lbs per wheel. Immediately I could tell the difference with handling and acceleration. Wheels will not sit flush on this car so I added 20mm spacers to stance it up. Handling improved after doing this. Iโm lowered on KSport coilovers so this addition really goes hand in hand. Iโm running Continental Extreme Contact DWS 245/45/18 with these which seem to be the perfect size. Not a bad way to spend $600. Drastic improvement over OEM and super affordable. I highly recommend these.

So far so good
I use these on my every day driver and autocross Miata. They're absolutely gorgeous. I was hoping these would be a good affordable relatively lightweight wheel without spending lots of $$. And I think they serve that purpose well. Anecdotally, other experienced autocross racers use TrackLite's as well. If it matters to any one, yes a bunch of counterweights are required on each wheel, they're not perfectly balanced, unless that's more a problem with the tires than wheels. I run Bridgestone Potenza RE-71Rs. Great wheels!

Best bang for your buck!
One of the best upgrades to do to any vehicle that will be kept for a few years. The wheels will pay for themselves in the gas savings alone not to mention the performance and logevity they will add to other areas such as ride, acceleration, braking! Awesome wheels wish they were lighter as the predecessors but the price is definetly alot cheaper than the first original forged line of these wheels.
