KYY Portable Monitor 15.6" 1080P Computer Monitor Screen Extender w/Cover

The monitor was super easy to set up with my Surface Pro laptop. It connected easily with the provided cables and there were two other cables for different set ups. It’s pretty light and thin and fits easily in my bag. The stand works well, too.

Needed a portable monitor to use while travelling or when not set up at my desk, as my job is much easier with two screens. I picked the KYY as it was priced well, had good reviews, and seemed to meet what I was looking for. I have had it for a while now and am really happy with the purchase. I was looking at another brand that was like double-triple the cost, and it really is just not necessary to spend the extra money when its essentially the same thing. The KYY monitor is great. The size is really nice; it is compact and lightweight. It comes with everything you need (minus an actual carrying case) - various plugs and a protective cover/stand case thing. I am able to connect and extend the screen very easily. The picture quality is great. It also has volume and sound capabilities. It was super easy to set up. Given its light and thin, compact, etc., it is easy to travel with. Seems to be pretty durable and has held up well.

I’ve been very happy with this portable monitor overall. It works well with my laptop, the picture quality is clear, and it’s been a great second screen for work and travel. Setup was simple, and it has performed reliably. My only complaint is that it doesn’t always stay in place on the built-in stand, so I occasionally have to readjust it. Other than that small issue, it’s a great value and I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a portable monitor.

This is far better than I expected it to be. I originally wanted this for my travels, I can use it as an extra monitor for my laptop or I can watch movies using my phone and not bring the laptop. The box it came in was very well built keeping it protected, the actual monitor is strong and feels like it's higher quality than it's price. And it's thin which is what I wanted because I travel a lot and don't want bulk. The screen picture is decent not unbelievable but with a little tweaking you can get it better than what's out of the box. I got the 15.6in and that's perfect for anything I am doing. I wouldn't want to play any super intense games on here because frame rate isn't super high, but the switch is fine. Same thing with I have had no issues watching TV or movies on it. Now my only minor complaints. The tab used to control volume and select through the settings menu is very flimsy. It feels like I'm going to break it, the up and down scrolling is fine, but when you press in to select it feels like it will push through. With how high quality the rest feels, it's a little disappointing but as long as it lasts it's fine. The other problem is the magnetic case, it's easy to use but it falls over relatively easily. If I'm using it as a second monitor it's fine on a desk. But placing it on something that might shift or move it will fall over every time... So... I have had this for a little while. I loves it until I got a new phone. My pixel 8 was great with it. My pixel 10 doesn't work at all with it... I think my phone pulls to much power from the screen and it makes the screen shut off basically in seconds... So it's useless with new tech... Maybe a new version fixes this but this one cannot handle newer phones.

I bought this monitor 1.5 years ago, and I’m writing this review because this thing is a beast. I have dropped this thing a ridiculous many times, and it still works and looks great. I mainly use it for work so I don’t have much to say about picture quality but it’s perfect for my needs. It’s really light, easy to set up, and like I said, pretty indestructible. A couple negatives — the sound is awful. Don’t use it as a speaker. Also the case magnets are pretty weak which contributes to the drops, but that’s probably more on me and my computer setup.

I work in the wastewater industry and it’s nice to have two system screens up at the same! The screen quality is incredible! It was super easy to set up. I can’t say enough good things about this thing! The price point was spot on it charges my laptop and shows me two screens. I will acknowledge that the volume is not very strong, but you can easily hook in speakers if you really needed to, but I don’t need music blasting. The case is such a cool feature and if you fold the front flap up, it keeps it from falling over as some people mentioned happened. It connects to your phone if you want it too it does everything and more. I would purchase this 10 times over.

I was pleasantly surprised by the included cover as well. It protects the screen during travel and doubles as a stand, reducing the need to carry extra accessories. The magnetic design makes setup quick, and it has held the monitor securely during use. For gaming, the larger display compared to a handheld device or laptop screen makes a noticeable difference. I connected it to a console during a trip and had a much better experience than trying to game on a smaller display. The image remained smooth and responsive, and the built-in speakers were convenient when I didn’t have headphones nearby. What stands out most is how often I actually use it. Some tech gadgets seem useful in theory but end up sitting in a drawer. This monitor has become part of my regular workflow because it solves a real problem without adding complexity. Whether you’re a remote worker, student, gamer, photographer, content creator, or someone who simply wants more screen space while traveling, this portable monitor offers a convenient, adjustable, and surprisingly capable second-screen solution.

I had just gotten this for my mobile desk, and while this works great there is some issues with this monitor. For starters this monitor will only work if I plug in directly into my laptop, you can’t plug it into a dock station which is really frustrating because I would like to have to another monitor I like to use 3 monitors and will still see if there is a way to plug into a dock station. Secondly, the monitor pulled so much power from my laptop my laptop was dead after 4 hours of usage with just 1 monitor no idea how much faster my battery would drain with another monitor. Other than these issues the monitor worked well, and was easy to connect, the picture was clear so I don’t have complaints on that. It does make working mobility easier than just working on my laptop.

Lo uso solo como segunda pantalla para mí trabajo y ha funcionado correctamente, la resolución de la pantalla en buena, no pesa, trae un protector que se usa como soporte, no le tuve que configurar nada, al conectarla con mi lap top en automático ya tenía mi segunda pantalla lista para...

Excelente llegar en tiempo

Me gustó la calidad de la imagen y lo fácil que fue conectarlo a la computadora. No hay que instalar ningún programa solo basta conectarlo. Hay dos opciones de conexión 1) de conector tipo C a C 2) de mini HDMI a HDMI + cargador tipo C . Me resulta muy práctico el tipo C ya que mi laptop trae este conector y solo necesito un cable. Lo único que no me encantó fue el peso, la estaba comparando con una steren más pequeña, y la otra pesaba super poquito comparada con esta. Pero considerando que es más grande, asumo que está bien. La recomiendo totalmente ya que en juntas con cliente te ves profesional proyectando, o durante las juntas es posible proyectar una sola pantalla y hacer notas en otra.

La calidad de materiales me sorprendió, siendo de los monitores portátiles más baratos que encontré, pensaba que iba a tener materiales de baja calidad y no es así. Con luz de día más o menos directa me parece que si le falta un poco de brillo aunque lo considero más personal, prácticamente cualquier pantalla con luz natural directa es susceptible….. me gustó que además del puerto HDMI tiene dos puertos USB-C así que puede conectar a tu dispositivo con uno de ellos y si quieres conectar ya sea tu dispositivo o la pantalla a la energía eléctrica (lo cual aumenta el brillo máximo de la pantalla), puedes utilizar el segundo puerto USBC del monitor y así alimentar ambos dispositivos a la vez! Me parece una excelente compra y opcion de tener un monitor extra que puedes llevar a todos lados!
