Real bird house. Place it at quiet garden, then get lucky!

Is it water resistant so it can be hung outside?

We hung ours outside and it did not hold up well. We live in Oregon where we get a lot of rain, so I'm sure that didn't help. A dryer climate might be better for the birdhouse.

How tall is the rectangular door on the front?

about 1 1/2" inches,but that is not the door that is the opening for the birds that is about 1" in diameter
