A: Hello, I did mix about 60/40 Bonsai Jack/Hoffmans. Mine did great, but they were all small and in clay pots. They dried out really quick that way.

A: Thanks for the message. Bonsai Block ® is a lightweight high fired soil amendment with a variety of earth-tones including peach, ash, black, tan and dark grey. It can be used as a substitute for lava, pumice and hard Akadama.

**Q: Is this soil good for Christmas cacti?**
A: No, in their description above they tell you, "Gritty mix is a good fit for the most of the 30 thousand species of succulents and cacti that exist. Gritty mix is not a good fit for standard houseplants, Thanksgiving cactus, Christmas cactus, Ponytail palm, snake plant and some vine type(string of xxx) succulents in most zones."

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for Succulents needing Good Drainage

Great for those plants that need a 'more rocky' soil. For my succulents that prefer a little more soil - I mix it in various ratios (depending on what the plant prefers). One thing to note - because of the type of material, it does best with a soak method of watering. (Not so great with watering can or bottle - water drains through quickly and roots are not able to absorb.) Anyway - that is what I have found with my particular succulents. Hefty bag - have used as a door stop when I had an extra. (Dual purpose!!)
