Ameritex Waterproof Dog Bed Cover Pet Blanket for Furniture Bed Couch Sofa Reversible

I always look for a product that is waterproof to cover an ottoman that my cat, for some reason, likes to pee on. Before I even put any waterproof cover on the ottoman, I put a tight-fitting waterproof cover on it first (because the current cover I was using was supposed to be waterproof, but the urine always went through it and directly onto AND into the ottoman). Then I would have to pull out my "Green Machine" to wash the ottoman, which is a lot of work trying to absorb the urine and get the smell out. Please excuse me mentioning another product but FYI "Angry Orange" is an amazing product and is an excellent addition for washing dog beds, covers or whatever needs a little extra help for smelling good and removing the urine smell. It's a concentrate (and smells like oranges), so you just put a few drops in with your liquid detergent. It's awesome! So, I bought this throw, put it on the ottoman and then waited for the cat to pee on it eventually. She didn't disappoint me. She peed on it and THIS COVER DID WHAT IT SAYS IT WILL DO. It is absolutely waterproof. Nothing went through it and the tight-fitting cover beneath was NOT wet and did NOT have any smell on it. I WAS THRILLED! FINALLY, SOMETHING THAT IS TRUE TO IT'S WORD!!!!! But here was my problem… because the urine didn't leak through, it sat on top of the cover so when my cat peed on it in one of the corners of the ottoman, it ran down the side of it and onto the floor. So, this cover won't be good for the ottoman, but I still truly recommend this product, because it does work! I had not taken into consideration that the urine would sit on top of the cover. Had the urine not run down the side and onto the floor, my dog would have jumped up on ottoman eventually to lay on it and look out the window and could have laid in the urine. Not everyone is dealing with the cat pee situation and will be using it for normal circumstances, so this really could work well for you. I love the material and how it looks so clean and neat. I will still be using this cover on a small couch that is designated "the dog's couch" which I keep covered at all times. I don't want "the wet spot" from him licking his paws, etc., or any hair and possible doggy smell going directly on the couch. This way, I can wash and dry the throw, put it back on the couch and everything stays smelling great. By the way, this washes and dry's really well and quickly. If you’re looking for a cover something so regular spills don’t soak into your couch, bed or whatever, this cover is PERFECT. If it’s to cover a piece of furniture that your cat likes to pee on, then it might not be for you because of the urine sitting on top of the throw. All in all, it’s a great product and I'm going to buy another one to have on hand. I apologize for the lengthy review, but this is the kind of information I look for when reading a review on an item I want to buy.

This works great on top of my comforter. I got it in a light color so I could see if my dogs bring home ticks :( It has a waterproof type fabric, so not "cozy" but protects well.

I bought 3 of these in 2023 and 2 of the 3 are still going strong! One is now ripped where my dog dug into it with his claws repeatedly (apparently he wanted to dig a hole into my couch). The covers have worked really well to protect my couch from my dog and toddler. Even when he ripped a hole, it didn’t go all the way through both layers of the cover to my couch. And I have a lab for reference, so big boy and strong claws. They did a good job of keeping liquid off in the beginning but after multiple washes throughout the years, they aren’t water resistant at all. Overall, a good product and you will definitely get your moneys worth! I have the cream/beige color

I am so very happy with this sofa cover. I have 3 small dogs and I just bought new furniture. They fit my sofa wonderfully and they are waterproof! And I mean that! My pups are clean but they drag in grass and they do shed. This cover protects against all of that. They wash and dry so nice and come out of the dryer dog hair and wrinkle free. If I don’t want them on when company comes over, I just remove them to reveal my beautiful clean furniture. I did buy 2 sets to rotate as I wash them. I purchased the dark gray and I just love it! They are a high quality product and they are very soft. They fit my sofa perfectly and so easy to use. I put these on brand new so there are a few wrinkles in my pics. If you are in the fence, don’t be. They are wonderful!

This is lightweight, easy to wash and good quality. I cover my couches in the winter, I place these under the sheets on the couch and it works perfectly, keeps my couch dry weather it be from the dogs being wet or if my pup has an accident

These are great for small people and pets. They are water resistant, not water proof.

I ordered one of these on October 8, 2023 and it has done amazing job protect my lazy boy couch recliner. It stays in place no moves never shifts are separates in between. Back in 23 I bought another one and that one separated in between the layers it was terrible. I had to return it. I just recently purchased two of them. The layers haven’t separated yet, but they don’t stay and hold to the couch like the first one does. They also weigh six or so ounces less than the original. The original seems like it has more a different fabric not so polyester like the new ones! The original states flat surface of buckles up a bunch bunches up or nothing. The new ones move all the time you’re constantly adjusting them to fit the couch good. I bought two new ones this year recently hoping they would be the same but they’re not but I don’t have another choice at this point in time. I like the original one I don’t know what they did to change the product quality, but it doesn’t do what the first one has done for me for the last few years since 2023!

Within a few hours of laying down this bed cover, my senior cat with FLUTD decided to give this blanket a try. It did a great job protecting the mattress and all I had to do was wipe off the cover and it was done. The smell did linger, though, so I spraying the spot down with my enzyme cleaner (which actually did absorb rather than sit on top). Haven't washed it yet so not sure how it'll work long term, but it served its purpose! Fit was kind of strange. I thought I'd ordered one roughly equivalent to a full sized bed, but it was slightly smaller. I'd suggest sizing up if you order this. It's light and soft and I'm otherwise happy with it.... although some of the urine did roll off the blanket and onto the carpet but hey, can't win every battle. My boy is going back to the vet on Monday so I hopefully won't have to use this for long...

So far very good dog blanket hair can be vacuumed/ shaken off very easy scratch proof so good even bought them for caravan, luv them.

This bed cover keeps my doona clean. Also very water resistant for those puppy accidents. Easy to wash and dry.

I selected this one cause of the better reviews . It’s not waterproof meaning the liquid did not bead of the fabric instead it was absorbed . It was expensive considering it didn’t work , I had high hopes , hopefully I find what I’m looking for .

Lightweight, looks like the product images. Great idea. However, doesn't work well once you actually start washing the item - it no longer retains its waterproof feature.
