We had to go to a wedding recently and my 9 year old is a little on the chubbier side, so I was worried this would be too small for him. It ended up fitting very well. He said the pants he probably could wear another year but the jacket was just right. It's not a wool suit but it doesn't look cheap. The price tag that came attached to it read $99 and I fully believe that is what it would be sold for at a a department store. I think he might get a few more wears out of it and so we're pretty glad with it. He did not have any complaints about comfort ... so I think it was a winner. GREAT value for a suit and I'm so glad these options exist because our kids grow like weeds.

I purchased the size 10-12 for my son who normally wears that size, but unfortunately the suit was too small to wear at all. We were unable to use it for the event we purchased it for, which was very disappointing. From what I could tell before we had to return it, the suit appeared to be nice quality for the price. The fabric is lightweight, which would have been great for a formal event. The construction looked decent with straight seams and the overall appearance was sharp. However, the sizing issue made this purchase unusable. This suit runs VERY small - I would estimate at least 1-2 sizes smaller than standard boys' sizing. If your child wears a 10-12, you'll likely need a 14 or even 16. Pros: Appears well-made Lightweight fabric Nice looking suit for the price Cons: Runs extremely small - couldn't even wear it Had to return/miss wearing for our event Sizing not true to standard boys' sizes Bottom line: The suit seems nice but the sizing is off. Order 1-2 sizes larger than your child normally wears, or consider a different brand if you need something quickly and can't risk an exchange.

Tag isn’t what we paid. Looks very nice. Fits as expected. Nice quality fabric, well sewn. Great price for the look and quality. Looks like the Amazon description photos-more of a fine vertical stripe very dark gray and less so black, though it’s called black. This was his second favorite suit and only lost out because he preferred the slim fit of another one. Would be great for a formal event. Would recommend. This is Van Heusen regular for size 20. He is 15 years old, 135# and 5’3” for reference.

The arm sleeves are way too long and the pants are very snug. I was hoping to use this for a wedding but my kid thought it was better for a funeral. It’s very dark, you need to throw some color in somewhere or it really does look more suited for a funeral. I threw a white shirt and a blue/gray tie and it helped slightly. The material is very thick and high quality, the only reason I’m giving it three stars. My son is slightly short for his age but those arms are very long and those pants are extremely tight. He is if anything on the smaller size and the pants don’t give at all. I would order a husky if you have an average sized kid and use a belt. This would be great for a very tall child, that is also very thin.

Loved this suit ! Fit my 13year old grandson perfectly. He is about 5'1 and on the thin side. The sleeves did seem a little short to me but upon looking at the pictures of the slim suits on the models, they are where they should be. The material is light weight and has a slight pattern to it (lines) that give it a much more expensive look. Bought the Bank Blue color and paired it with a light purple shirt and blue and purple tie and it looked stunning! Don't let the low cost fool you, this is a good looking suit and my grandson loved it!

Not the quality you’d expect from Van Heusen. Pants were see-thru. Cheaply made. Zero quality.

I ordered size 18 regular for my 13 year old who usually wears Men’s Medium. Normal built. He’s about 5’7” in height, we did not have to alter the pants.
