NECA Lord of The Rings Smeagol Action Figure, 1/4 Scale

First of all, don't be confused by Amazon's listing. This isn't a toy, it's a work of art. NECA has really outdone itself this time with this Gollum figure. This figure is perhaps a perfect blend of articulation and aesthetics. You can pose him in almost any way you want. And he looks amazing in those poses. NECA spared no expense with the paint applications. Gollum looks incredibly realistic. You can even see the faint blue veins running along his forehead!One thing that's worth mentioning is that in hand Gollum actually looks better than the prototype photos Amazon has posted here. In those pictures, it looks like the joints really stick out, almost like an old wooden puppet. I'm glad to say that in hand the joints blend much better into the rest of the figure. So don't be put off by the photos here.The only "problem" with this figure is that Gollum doesn't include the Ring. It would have been nice for NECA to have at least given us a small ring to go with him. Fortunately, it turns out that the LEGO gold ring from the LEGO Hobbit playsets fits the 1/4 scale Gollum perfectly, and you can buy them on eBay for about a dollar, so I'd definitely recommend getting one to make Gollum complete.In short, this would have been my favorite adult/collector toy from 2013, but it's such fine craftsmanship that calling it a toy seems like a disservice. If you're a fan of Peter Jackson's take on Gollum, just get this.

NECA has done it again. I was a little surprised when I heard that NECA was making Gollum and Smeagol figures from the Lord of the Rings. I know that Toy Biz did the LOTR figures back in 2001-2003. With the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey coming out in theaters, I thought it was strange that Gollum and Smeagol were from Lord of the Rings. I was wondering if NECA was going to do this amazing character justice. I purchased the Smeagol figure and I am planning on getting the Gollum figure too. These two figures are absolutely amazing! Smeagol stands about 10 inches tall I believe (amazon says 12"), and has incredible detail. The figure has realistic hair and captures the exact likeness of Smeagol in the movies! For being a bigger figure, Smeagol also has a lot of articulation! The release of these two figures are just in time for the new Hobbit movie and just in time for Christmas. Either of the two figures would be a great gift for any collectors or LOTR-Hobbit fans! NECA has amazed us again and the figures are well worth the $40-$50. Very very well done.

This is the first action figure, which I brought and it is damn good and very detailed. Other than head joint, every other joint is wide angled and allows lot of movements, head movement is good side ways, but head doesn't tilt much.Note: The first piece I received had a problem with right knee movement, which is too loose to hold certain postures. The second one which received as a replacement is perfect, so please check joints.

This is by far my favorite figure I’ve ever purchased. The detail is absolutely amazing. He looks so lifelike and is one of if not the best NECA figure. Worth the money. Only complaint is his hair is a little oddly placed one the top of his head. Otherwise, incredible figure.

The one you sent me has a different face... is not angry like in the picture... :-(It has a sorprise face... don't like it !!!!

Smeagol sits cozy in Italy now , its such a real life figure and beats almost any action figure out in the market!!NECA is awesome and have come a long way in making collectibles , the size scale is one of the best , I do have the NECA predator1/4th scale and yes Smeagol still is much more well made ( the predator NECA is also one of the best ), thanks NECA u make me smile and proud to own Smeagol ( awesome articulation and details )

Neca has done an awesome job by making this kind of great detailed figure and very happy to have this as one of my collection.This is one of the Figurines which will complete the Hobbit Collectors.

Es una de las figuras de el señor de los anillos que he visto con unos acabados y unos detalles impresionantes,Queda increíble para decoración en la habitación.Articulaciones que se pueden mover y puedes poner la figura como tu quieras,el pelo parece real y los detalles son dignos de figuras de colección profesionales que tienen precios no muy al alcance de todos los bolsillos pero esta es todo lo contrario es la figura mas real que vas a ver de gollum y con un precio muy económico al alcance todos. Una figura para dominarlos a todos..Puedes ponerla en posiciones de la película, es de un material muy bueno y todos los detalles están muy muy logrados. Es un mini smeagol en tu habitación..Desde que lo compre es MI TESORO!!

fantastic figure.......neca nailed it......looks ditto to smeagol in the movie.......the head sculpt is perfect; it bears the vulnerability that smeagol had in the movie to its altered ego Gollum........the body and hands look perfect..........no accessories......still a 5 star figure

This figure is pure perfection. It is absolutely worth the money, in fact I would even be ready to pay twice or three times more for such a collector. I had never seen so many details on a figure or a doll before. The painting and the texture make the hard plastic feel almost like real skin : it is rough, you can see blue veins and age spots on it... More than a manufactured product, it actually looks like a piece of art. Besides it is a limited edition, so if you are a big fan of LOTR, get yours while the stock lasts.Smeagol stands well and I think he is durable, but as for the posability... Well it takes some getting used to, but most reviewers on the internet said he can pose very well. What is sure is that once you get him, you simply cannot take your eyes off him !

Die ca 25cm große Action Figur von Neca ist sehr beweglich und wirklich detailliert. Smeagol sieht aus wie direkt aus dem Film gekommen und er hat sogar richtige Haare.Die Bemalung ist ebenfalls super. Ich kann die Figur jedem Herr der Ringe Fan und erwachsenen Sammler empfehlen.
