I absolutely love this bagel slicer! My son enjoys a bagel every morning for breakfast, but I was never comfortable with him using a knife to cut them himself. It's kind of big an awkward for the kitchen but works like a dream. I can't speak to the durability of the blades because we don't eat bagels that often, but so far cuts like butter. I use it with ease and confidence and have recommended this product to family.

The Hoan Bagel Slicer works exactly as it advertises. We like to purchase the fresh bagels, but they don't come pre-sliced. They are a struggle to slice manually, and come out with an uneven slice. The Hoan Slicer makes it a breeze to slice bagels, and slices them perfectly. No struggles at all. Easy clean up.

This certainly helps slice bagels in a safer way. I tried cutting on both a bagel out of the package and one that was slightly frozen it was easier to cut through better than the unrefrigerated or unfrozen bagel. This is a good gift for somebody that has arthritis in their hands or fingers or just wants an easier way to slice a bagel.

All Pros for me! I debated over so many different types of bagel slicers from all different styles and prices. I wanted one that was easy to grip, sturdy, and simple to store on my tiny kitchen counter. I don't have enough drawers to store it flat, and my cupboards are full to the brim. I knew I would use it almost every day and I chose the red one to add color to my countertop. This style has one blade that is permanently installed so it needed to be the best one I could buy that would do the job the first time, every time, and absolutely safe to use with little effort. I am delighted with it and can recommend it for all adults. Older Teens that can handle knives safely, will appreciate it.I never buy fresh bagels! I actually prefer them when they aren't squishy soft bread used for sandwiches, and I use a toaster oven, not a 2 or 4 slice type toaster after I slice them. Works great on week old bagels and I like saving money because the store gives huge discounts on them! I've even kept the bagel package frozen (inside a freezer safe bag) and when I want just one, allow it to thaw, pop it in my Black and Decker toaster oven for 30 seconds to remove any dampness and use the slicer. Works fine! Personally, thick bagel are nearly impossible for me to cut with serrated or bread knives because of arthritis in my hands and fingers. Well worth the extra cost and no pain!Cons: If you ONLY like the fresh, huge fat bagels that won't fit in a typical toaster, don't buy this! Negative reviews appear to be from people that only prefer that kind.Avoid sticky buns/bagels that are coated with sugar, I wouldn't recommend using ANY bagel slicer or standard toasters for those! If you prefer that kind please DON'T buy this because this bagel slicer is not meant for them and you would likely be very unhappy.Hope I've covered every aspect of what you can expect from this bagel slicer. Best bagel biter that slices bagels just like a deli! As well, this must have kitchen tool slices bagels both easily and evenly. Children can also use the slicer although with adult supervision due to the interior blade. The Hoan Bagel Biter Slicer is of quality fabrication, easy to clean, and can be stored in a (deeper) kitchen drawer or cupboard. It would certainly make a great hostess, housewarming. or any occasion unique and useful gift - that's if you can part with it after purchasing?! ( :Note: Bagels need to be placed 'evenly' in the slicer to prevent uneven slices after cutting. Additionally, soft bagels may not slice as well. However, this tool slices my New York style (slightly firm) bagels down down the middle without any "smooshing" of the dough.

いつも自分でベーグルを焼くので、切るのがとても面倒だったので少し高かったが、amazonでホワイトが破格値（他が馬鹿みたいに高い）の￥2000だったので、購入！我が家のベーグルにジャストサイズで、綺麗に簡単に安全にスライス出来ました。厚さが合わないと入らなかったり、片寄ったりしますが一般的なサイズのベーグルならば、問題なく使用出来ると思います。ベーグルサンドを作るのが楽しくなりました。
