They are good tools for the price. I use mine everyday and they are still effective.

Tools appear well made, have a smooth exterior finish, and feel good in the hand. All joints are a bit stiff but that isn't necessary a bad thing as it should help keep the joint play down over time. Most good jointed tools require a little wear in to be smooth. Cutter jaws feel sharp and have a good flush contact sueface area. Scissors are easy to use and have a good smooth blade overlap. Time will tell if these tools last but I think they will be great for my bonsai tree maintenance needs and if taken care of will last a long, long time!

I use the basic pruning shears the most, but have used just about each set a couple times. It is a high quality set, comes with a nice bag to store them in and are very easy to use. I am a beginner to the art of bonsai, and use these tools from my azalea tree and money tree to house plants; so I'm sure you will find that you have just about any tool you need in this set! I did have to order the wire and sealant separately, which is fine, because everyone has their own preferences. IMO this really is a great set, especially for the price.

For the costs, I would say these are more than reasonable tools to buy. They come sharp, clean, and packed well. The only thing one should take note, is that the joints on the tools come pretty stiff. You will want to actuate the tool many many times ahead of time to work them in and allow them to have a smooth feeling response. I personally opened and closed them over and over while watching tv until the friction did it's thing, and finished them off with some 3-in-1 oil. They are now smooth and pleasant to use.

IT is very good, value for money, very sharp

Great quality for the price and perfect for the work on my bonsai. Each tool is separately packed and there’s a pull string bag to store the set in, I would if needed buy these again as the quality is better than initially expected and very sharp.
