Not great if your feet need to be more secure - If you're looking at these pedals, and especially the reviews for them, I am guessing you're not a professional bike rider, just as I am not. I got these pedals as a stand in to replace the abysmal pedals that came with my mountain bike, but even that is a luxury nower days. These pedals are nice and light, have decent build quality and they spin fairly smoothly. There are pins, however they are perhaps a bit chunky and short in comparison to more mountain bike oriented pedals. These would be brilliant for a hybrid, or for a road bike where a person doesn't like using clipless pedals. No, they don't have reflectors, or any way to attach them, but if you're that worried tape some to the back of your shoes, or better still, just buy some decent bike lights. They will do the job, but for mountain biking where your feet are being bounced around, perhaps some more mountain bike specific pedals are better suited as these didn't keep my feet on them when riding trails.
