First By Van Cleef & Arpels For Women. Eau De Toilette Spray 3.3 Ounces

This has been my mother's favorite perfume for as long as I can remember. It is sweet, but clean smelling and lasts throughout the day. This perfume has both a floral and clean scent perfectly intertwined. There are not too many perfumes out there that I believe are the perfect compilation of everything, but this is it. It is perfectly feminine, yet not overly powerful. This is not one of those perfumes that will choke someone out when you are in a small space with, like an elevator. This is a beautiful mix that makes you wish you could keep smelling it. It has been discontinued in our local stores as far as selling goes, and I am so glad I am still able to find this perfume elsewhere. There are not too many things that truly make my mother happy, but this perfume is definitely one of them.She is one of the very few people that might wear 2-3 perfumes in her lifetime and this one has been at the top of her list for as long as I can remember. You used to be able to buy this perfume locally in one of the anchor stores in our local malls, but they have since stopped carrying it.This is not what I would call a classic "scent", as that more often than naught depicts "old". This is a timeless scent that will never go out of style. This is a perfume that I would happily wear if it weren't my mother's "signature scent". I do have to admit it smells better on her than me though :)I would recommend everyone try this perfume at least once their lifetime. It's a beautiful mix and never seems to get old!Thank you so much for providing one of the few things I know make my mom happy!

I buy this for my mom everytime she runs out. It’s a beautiful elegant scent and apparently it’s what Princess Diana used to wear so my mom can’t get enough of it! Haha Perfect gift for any woman in your life.

Never thought I would find one of my all time favorite fragrances again, “FIRST” by Van Cleef and Ariel’s. But I did on Amazon and am enjoying the sultry classics once again! Thank you Amazon seller!

Did not like the smell of this perfume.

I specifically contacted the seller and asked about the return policy (got no reply on this question was only told that the perfume is from a reputable seller blah blah blah (red flag) I should have listed to the reviews. I took a chance and ordered it. This scent is HORRIBLE smells like an old scent passed it’s shelf life and would NOT recommend and NO you absolutely cannot return this product per Amazon policy which doesn’t make sense. It can be shipped to the customer but customer cannot return because it’s a liquid that contains alcohol etc. LESSON LEARNED hope this review helps others make a sound decision.

I've used 'First' for 20 years and this was a great price.

I love this particular perfume. I usually buy at Bergdoff Goodman's in New York City. This time they did not have it in stock. I bought it here for the first time as I needed it desperately. When I used it for the first time it smelt the same but when the spray hit my skin it stung. So I am not sure why it did that. I cannot find it anywhere in the regular stores. This is a great scent and I have been using it for more than 15 years and I love it. I would be cautious in gifting it to anyone.
