Dongar Classic Dashcam Integration USB-C Power Adapter (DCA-10D)

It worked just fine for my Mazda CX-30 2026. It was kind of difficult to dismount the plastic piece on the car ceiling, but after getting it done it's really easy to finish the adapter install. Works just fine with 5v power for my dashcam.

I tried many of the other adapters but this is actually the only one that worked for our 2023 Sienna. It was a breeze to install. Quality item. Definitely recommend. Although price is higher than the competition, it's reliable. Save me time if I went with Dongar in the first place. Includes USB-C and Micro USB cable.

This was extremely easy to install on a 2025 tundra sr5 it's a true plug and play and it gave me more cable then I needed the space where it sits has more than enough room to push everything in nice and tidy it turns on and off with the truck everytime. However it does not have power when the truck is off since its connected to the dome lights so if your looking for 24hr dash cam protection you may want to go with something different luckily that's not what I was looking for. It's not a horrible price for being a specialty item either

First, do NOT buy the suggested right-angle dongles; this kit comes with 3 dongles, each with a different male connector, which is good, because the suggested ones I ordered were the wrong connector. I wish they would have clearly stated this; it would have saved me a few bucks. Also, your camera will only be powered on when your car is running or in accessory mode. If your camera is so equipped and you want it to be usable as a “parking monitor”, this is not the kit for you. The kit comes with an orange, plastic trim tool that made removing the cover off my 2024 Ram’s rearview mirror easier. Following are top tips for 2024 and later Ram 1500 owners: the rear view mirror cover is in 2 pieces (a top and a bottom); removing them is the most challenging part of the install, but it’s not too bad. Read on for a good method to use. Note, the upper cover has a small section that slides down very slightly from the head liner; slide it down. Remove the top piece first, by slipping the small end of the tool into the lower edge of the top piece (about an inch or so up from the bottom edge) and pressing a tab (which you can’t see…) and pulling gently but firmly down. It’s not too hard to find. After getting one side done, do the other. Then, use the same tool to help gently, yet firmly pry the lower cover down towards the dash. If you jiggle the cover, you will see where the resistance is, and it consists of two “bayonets” and slots, one on each side of the mirror stem, that you must uncouple. That’s the “hard part”. After that, unplug the mirror by pressing the tab of the plug up and pulling the plug. If you look at the part that will be plugged in from this kit, it will make sense. Then re-terminate the mirror plug into the adapter, find the correct dongle from the 3 choices, plug it in to the USB and then your camera, power on your car’s accessory mode, and test your camera. Don’t adhere the USB port to your window yet! After confirming function, tuck the wires into the lower cover, making sure to feed the red and black wires thru the small slot on the side (Ram must have anticipated this), line up the “bayonets”, and press the lower cover into place. Line up the tabs on the upper cover and press them into place, then slide the “movable” part of the cover towards the headliner until it’s flush. Find a good spot to adhere the USB port and you’re done.

Works as described. Saves a ton of time wiring in the fuse panel. Quality is always excellent.

The kit worked perfectly in my 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. It came with everything I needed. This kit makes installation of a dash cam easy. No messy wires dangling around! Plugged right onto the 10 pin socket for the auto dimming rear view mirror. The usb end has some 3m tape attached to make mounting even better. This couldn’t be more simple and easy. The hardest part will be removing the rear view mirror trim and the mirror itself.

This item worked perfectly. It's very handy versus the other options to power my dash cam. Other options were to plug into cigarette lighter which means having the power cord dangling from the camera unless you route it under the dash somehow, or I could've hard wired it to the fuse block which of course involves routing the wire through the firewall and under the dash although doing that would've allowed me to use the parking mode on the camera which is no big deal to me. With this plug it runs from my rear view auto dimming mirror right to the camera that's next to the mirror. You will have to remove mirror housing to access plug but that pretty easy to do. I knocked off one star because I think it's way overpriced for what it is but I was willing to pay it for the convenience of an easy camera install. Remember that if using this for a dash cam you will lose the ability to utilize your parking mode on camera. I recommend this product

Cleanest way to install on a RAM! On/off with engine 0 problem. Way better than the fuse box method which for me kept the BCM on and drained the battery. Ply tool was not included in the box.

Expensive but work like a charm on my 2023 rebel and with a Garmin dash cam.. highly recommended, look awesome!

I recently picked this up for my 2021 Mazda CX-5 to power my dash cam, and I am honestly impressed by how simple it made the whole process. Plug & Play: Installation took less than 10 minutes. You literally just unplug the connector behind the rearview mirror and bridge this adapter in between. Clean Look: The best part is getting rid of that long, ugly cable running down the windshield and dashboard to the cigarette lighter. This keeps everything hidden neatly behind the mirror. Reliable: It powers on and off automatically with the car ignition, so I never have to worry about draining the battery.

I recommend a 90deg usb cable into the dashcam, the supplied straight cable end is stressed against the dashcam mount, possible connection failure later

Worked perfectly for my Mazda CX30, straight forward to fit, decent quality and easy to hide wires…
