Q: I know that the flap is listed as 7 by 11 inches but the older version of this flap was actually 7 by 11 1/2 inches...What are the actual dimensions?

The finished product is 7 X 11 and the 1/2 inch is the part that goes across the top for the screw holes. It fits great. Hope this helps.

Yes it is translucent. It was a perfect replacement for the old one. Had to replace because all 3 dogs thought they could go through the door at once!

Hello, I just adapted the Ideal flap to a PetSafe door today, the ideal flap was a XL, and the Petsafe Flap was a large,,, both flaps are about 10.5 inches by 15.75.. just some trimming needed on the Ideal flap to make it fit, I wrote a review with all the info... which was 1. trim 1/8 inch from the width of the flap from one side...2. Trim the bumpers by 1/8 inch on one side to make the flap slide into the channel.. and your done.... fits great... magnet closure works good.

Q: Will this flap work with the ideal pet products replacement flap for ultra flex extra large dog door sold by: Ideal Pet via amazon.com also?

Unfortunately it does not. The rivets are in five vs 3 etc. Best to stay with the replacement flap specific to the ultra flex.
