Relief from Inflammation
A while back I tested a few TheraPearl wraps for the company. They worked out so well I've since purchased about five other TheraPearl products, most recently this shin wrap. One of the biggest problems with cold packs is that they never stay where they should. They are useless if they wind up on the floor or lost in the bedding, and chances are if you need a cold or hot pack, you don't feel like chasing after it. With generously long velcro straps, a TheraPearl stays comfortably on the injured or inflamed area. I bought this one specifically for calf pain. Perfect size, and it would work for your arms as well. Another nice thing about these is that they don't absorb all of those nasty freezer smells. They chill quickly, and can also be used as hot packs.

Works well after workout
My daughter is a runner and after each run we use these on her legs. Quick alternative to dipping her legs in an ice bath. Good quality and stays cold for a long time.

Love the cool feature, but for quality and desing loses two stars
Bought these after having problems with shin splints and a two month break from running and almost walking. Have to say it has worked pretty great, use them pretty much every day, have them always in the freezer so after each long run or soccer game, or whenever I feel some soreness, I just put them on. Fit is pretty good although the velcro curls up when frozen and it is a bit small on one of the straps but not major problem. Have never tried them warm so I couldnt comment on that feature. Overall I like this product, the only negative aspects of the product, although it advertises to stay cold for 20 minutes it only stays at a cool temperature for 10-15 minutes tops, 15 being a cold day and not after a workout and 10 immediately after workout. My main problem is on my left shin so i usually put one on leave the other on the freezer, and then change it for a 20 minutes of cold. Other thing I have to mention is that the blue beads are starting to dissolve, becoming a blue liquid flowing around the inside of the pack which leads to the final issue, the pack has four main compartments, but all of the compartments are conected so, by simple law of gravity unless you use this product lying down with legs completely horizontal, the beads will start going to the bottom division, and as it warms up this will happen faster, and if the beads are starting to lose their circular shape, then, it becomes kind of annoying. Overall good concept, who doesnt like a good ice pack, but with a few quality and design problems.

Highly recommend this product to others
I have been an avid runner for many years. As of recent I began experiencing the horrific pain of shin splints. After reading multiple online articles about how nothing can help with shin splints except ice, massaging the tissue, new shoes and ibuprofen. I immediately bought new shoes. I tried massaging first with no luck of healing at one point I was taking ibuprofen before and after my runs. Nothing seemed to stop the pain besides not running. These ice packs provide me INSTANT relief after my runs. No, my shin splints are not gone I am continuing to stretch, massage and take Ibuprofen but the pain is at least manageable knowing instant relief is available. Highly recommend this product to others.

Five Stars
The best shin ice pack EVER!!! I apply them directly to the skin. There is never the "cold burn" feel at all. I cannot express enough what a life saver these have been for shin splints. My shin splints actually graduated to a stress fracture of the tibia and these help as well! I wish they stayed colder a little longer. I only get that super cold feel for 10ish mins, but that could be also that I'm getting numb. I'm not totally sure, all I can say, if you have shin pain, get these PERIOD!!!

Damaged/returned
The exploded in the package mailing which did not give me confidence they would be durable. Returned and purchased a different item. Ice really does help with the shin splint pain!!!straps are nice

Very versatile
I love this since I was used to using multiple ice packs and holding them in place. Straps around easily. I use it for my arms as well as my knees and ankles. Comes with 2 of them so you don't have to keep switching. Takes a couple hours to freeze but well worth it. Just throw it in the freezer before a workout and its there ready for you.

Hardly useful beyond using a cucumber from the fridge
I intended to use this primarily as a cold wrap around the knees (for reducing pain after surgery). I have two major complaints against this product. The "pearls" that is used for filling doesn't get as cold as some of the other cold packs which we have and quickly returns to room temperature. Hardly useful beyond using a cucumber from the fridge. The number of pearls in each of the packets is very sparse.....maybe an artefact of cost cutting. Wouldn't recommend this product to anyone looking for serious pain control. Instead go for some blue gel based cold pack gel which remains liquid even after freezing.

Does the job
Having recently started up jogging again, I suffered the return of the dreaded shin splints to the extent I had to significantly reduce the time & distance I was jogging, at a time I was gradually trying to increasing my work out to get fitter. After reading some reviews I was slightly worried about the wraps not being cold for long enough and relieving the pain. I’m not sure what the ideal time is, but for me the these wraps made the difference between having to stop jogging, and being able to carry on, significanlty reducing the pain to un noticeable levels. They are only ice cold for around 10 minutes, but for me this appears to be enough, and I use them after every jog post shower. I couldn’t recommend these more highly for any runner who is suffering this very annoying lower leg pain.
