Made my project of 1998 BMW 323ic, E36, M50 single vanos replacement go smoothly. You have to have a tool like this if you plan to replace the vanos. Review: Blocks would not fit on cam since they were machined ... - Blocks would not fit on cam since they were machined too small. You don't know this until your engine is apart and you go to use them. I was going to return them but I was in the middle of the job. I then filed the block down by hand. Got it to fit then realized the holes for the connecting bar were in the wrong place. Re-drilled the hole got that set up right. Now its over an hour later. I then went to remove the vanos and the wrench is not even close to fitting. At this point I had to abandon the project and order a Baum brand wrench that wont be here till next week while my motor waits in pieces. Thank you to the seller for selling this piece of junk and making this whole project a nightmare (that is sarcasm in case it wasn't clear, because if you continue to sell this there is a message that is not getting through).

Slight modification needed
Took longer to lock the cams, because modification was needed, you’ll need to drill the bracket that holds both cams together because both locks won’t go over both cams because they’re too close in order to overcome that you have to expand the hole to allow more movement and lock the cams. Other than that it’s a really good tool and a must have when taking apart cylinder head. If i didn’t have to do that, it would definitely get 5 stars.

Poorly made
Had to file one of the blocks to fit, had to remove pin from sprocket tool and machine for correct fit. Comes in a nice case though.....

These are complete and utter Chinese junk. My car is a turbo E36 I've built myself. This a German car not Chinese it needs German or equiv tools. If you can't afford a real set - borrow some. Seriously.

Much less expensive than other tools, comes with a case. Was worth it for me to own it instead of renting as I would be doing multiple jobs with it.

easy to use
Worked as it should, easy to use, quick shipping. Cheap tools but works as well as the more expensive items.
