I am so thankful for Doctor Stephen Buhner's book. It has so much information, and can help save a life. I suggest this for anyone that thinks that they even could potentially have a Lyme infection.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing herbs and “weeds” helps where medicine has failed

I’m totally amazed. Growing up in a world of medicines and doctors and relying on those docs to give me a cure, I went into this approach with a hope, but without a true faith in it. So how can it be after a little more than a month I’m experiencing such a vast improvement? Plants can be a powerful medicinal despite what I had framed up in my mind.What’s more astonishing –some of these invasive weeds are helping where 20 years of doctors visits could not. I have a common story where I didn’t fit into the doc box. Their frame of education and treatment put me outside the margins of their knowledge. Something as complex as a tic bourne illness sent 80% of them for a pen to write a psychiatric prescription (though I never asked for that). The other 20% gave the appearance they’d exhaust my efforts or budget until I gave up… which I did until it nearly killed me.I was having severe heart palpitations after I ate. My face was going numb. I often assumed I was about to pass out. I struggled to walk because it was as if I had a huge weight on me. I was soooo weak. Yes, it sounds crazy, but that’s what tic bourne illness often does. Modern medicine is not equipped to treat it because pharmaceuticals have such little beneficial effect. Also, whatever the bacteria is, it goes on without detection. Technology can’t determine what is truly going on, so the patient must be imagining the problem. Such a small number of tic bourne illness is cured by modern medicine. Traditional/Folk Medicine works where the latest medical technology fails.I’ve had MRIs, blood tests beyond counting, physical after physical, visits to neurologists and specialists that were perpetually discouraging. Now I’m being helped by invasive weeds and herbs that we’ve had knowledge of their benefit for millennia. It’s quite astonishing and it should be humbling to our nation’s entire “modern”medical complex.Just a portion of the core protocol in this book has helped kick my symptoms already. I’ve only been taking 4 of the main parts of the protocol in the list and the tremendous benefit has inspired me to gather the remainder of the ingredients.When getting the plants and herbs, it’s best to grow them at home, but you’ll likely have to start off purchasing them. I went for the powders because of the quantity I’ll have to take over what could be a year or more. I’m inspired to continue and after 20 years, one year is pretty short. Some of them were a challenge to find, but about 8 hours on internet herbal sites (and Amazon) I gathered most of the powders or tinctures needed.I’m confident you’ll be inspired to continue once you’ve begun. I’ve had a few strange feelings but I’ve been told it’s the illness working against me. I’m convinced they are right.This book is a good guide through a complex issue that has yet to gain the support of the medical industry.

Buhner wrote this book beautifully and thoroughly with so much research and personal experience. (The bibliography is MASSIVE - I was going to count, but it's so long just take my word for it.)This is an empowering must-have for any lyme patient or practitioner. The first seven chapters are very research based and full of information about the dynamics of the disease in the global and micro ecosystems in which it inhabits. He also discusses the unfortunate reality of the failures in modern medicine is diagnosis and treatment of chronic stealth infections. I would recommend reading it (when the lyme brain fog isn't too heavy), but he does direct you to chapter 8 - the core protocol - if you wish to skip the depth and density of the research."There is no one-size fits all treatment for lyme or any of it's coinfections"Another thing I love about this book is that he doesn't claim this is the only way to treat lyme; its a protocol with amazing results and backed by research, but he ENCOURAGES you to alter/add/delete elements as needed for your specific experience and dynamic. Remember that it was writted 10+ years ago, and that there is new research available not included in this book. Nevertheless, this protocol is fundamental, even if we get lucky and new groundbreaking benefeits from newly studied herbs are discovered.I am a recently diagnosed lyme patient, and this book helps me feel empowered and hopeful about my healing. I have heard of amazing results from this protocol, and I only hope I can have similar results. This disease is awful, misunderstood, and estranging, and I wouldn't wish it upon the worst. I truly hope that you and I can find joy and healing. My biggest goal is to someday edit this review with my success story, and I'd love to see yours here as well so we can spark hope.I am so thankful Stephen Buhner left us with these resources before he passed. The world is truly better and more hopeful for it.
