Great Product
Hi I have tested this product twice before writing this review. Good eggs with decent hatch rate. This is a 6 gram vial of brine shrimp eggs as described and in the picture, it seems like a small amount but it is definitely a lot. This will feed my 5 tetras and baby bala shark for many months. It only comes with the eggs, you will need a few other things that aren't hard to find. Okay, Lets get started. The directions on the back tells you to use WAY too much brine shrimp eggs at once. Keep in mind if you do not feed the brine shrimp they will die within a couple days so you want to hatch as much as you would use in a day or two. I have done the math and lowered the measurements to 1 cup instead of 1 quart. The way I set up my hatchery is simple. You will need a glass jar. Inside you will put: 1 cup of Tap water or Tank water. (I used dechlorinated water from my fish tank.) 1 pinch of baking soda to buffer the pH of the water.(This will help improve the hatch rate of the eggs.) An air pump WITHOUT an airstone.(Use the end of the tubing and place it at the bottom of the jar.) 1/4 of a teaspoon of eggs. (Doesn't have to be exact, can be a bit more or less you would still get a good amount of brine shrimp) For the salt you will need 1.5 or 1 and a half teaspoon of [NON-IODIZED] kitchen salt, sea salt, or aquarium salt. (I used Non-Iodized Sea salt. These salts will increase hatch rate compared to [IODIZED] table salt). You want to keep the water at 80-85 degrees this will make them hatch faster. You might have to get creative here, You can try and find a way to get your hatchery secured at the very top of the water in your tank so your heater will do the job for you. Before you throw everything in the jar and set up your hatchery, I recommend you take your time by adding a pinch of baking soda to your water and letting it mix for a minute. Then you will add your 1/4 teaspoon of eggs and let the air pump mix the eggs around the jar. [Do not add the salt yet!] Let your eggs mix for atleast an hour before you add salt. Once everything is set up, you can leave it alone for 24 hrs. Once 24hrs is up you will definitely see live brine shrimp and they are ready to be cleaned and fed to your fish. I like to let my jar sit for a couple extra hours as this allows more eggs to hatch. This is the end of my super long review, to those who read it please let me know if it was helpful and have fun. Thanks!

Repopulated my Aqua Dragons tank!
I used these brine shrimp eggs to repopulate my Aqua Dragons tank. This product is so much cheaper and it contains more eggs than youโll ever need. Both Sea Monkeys and Aqua Dragons are Brine Shrimp or Artemia Salina. I thought all my Aqua Dragons were dead but I kept aerating the water in my tank using the pipette anyway. And I added food once. To my surprise, a couple of weeks later, I noticed a young aqua dragon swimming by himself. These eggs are really very tiny so you only need no more than a level feeding spoon for the SM or AQ tanks. Depending on the temperature of the water, eggs will start hatching sooner the closer it is 78ยฐF. So just be patient and donโt add anymore until at least 4 weeks have passed. It helps to use a magnifying lens to see the newly hatched babies. I mixed in the shrimp eggs with the existing water in my aqua dragons tank and they started hatching immediately. My tank is kept in a room thatโs on the cool side most of winter so it took up to 3+ weeks for more eggs to hatch. The room gets quite hot in the Summer. Itโs been around 4 weeks since I added these eggs to my tank and I have so many brine shrimp thriving together with their aqua dragon buddy. At least a pair have started mating. Theyโre all fed aqua Dragon food about once a week. I scatter the powder on the surface of the water only after Iโm done aerating for the day. Except for feeding day, I squeeze bubbles out of the pipette to make the settled uneaten food to float in the water. This allows the brine shrimp to feed as they swim. Hold of on feeding if the water remains cloudy and resume when itโs clear again. I also use the plastic pipette to aerate the water at least once daily for about 5 minutes. I use the pipette to gently create bubbles close to the bottom, at the middle & close to the waterโs surface. Also using it to stir the water gently to add more oxygen molecules. Store the remaining eggs in the bottle in a cool, dark & dry place away. I hope this review was helpful.

Pretty standard
I know these aren't the highest grade of brine shrimp in existence as those are reserved for the upper 1% of aquarists. Something I wish I hadn't had to find out. They do seem to have a decent hatch rate. I don't test the water parameters of my hatching set up so I might have a better yield if I did. You really can't beat the price though. I did notice that the glass jar got smaller from the last time I ordered them over a year ago though. I can't say they don't contain the same weight if brine shrimp but I feel slightly deceived. Making the jars smaller and selling for relatively the same price isn't a unique marketing practice by any means and they're are still millions of eggs, I'm sure. It kinda makes judging how long this batch will last me as I based my purchase choice on how long the last two larger jars lasted. I know it's not an exact science but a rough idea helps. Still though, I always appreciate an honest company over the sleight of hand, so to speak. Why not just mark them up in price instead of slipping in smaller jars? After this summer I'm guessing there will be a significant price increase given the current drought situation. I hope everyone understands that this is no fault of the sellers of these eggs as nature is beyond our control.

Great! Just do the research before you hatch them and they'll do fine
I decided to wait a little while before leaving a review, since obviously there's no way to rate something like this without trying it out first. This is my first experience with brine shrimp and, as far as I can tell, they're doing great. Hatch rate was probably somewhere around 60%, but I'm more than willing to allow that I may not have hatched them under perfect conditions. Rather than follow the instructions on the package, I hatched them based on one of the other reviews here. My method was: 1 cycled cup water from my fish tank Maybe 1/8th tsp of the eggs A pinch or so of baking soda, which put the pH at 7.8 After about an hour I added 1 tsp Himalayan pink salt (later went and bought sea salt, as far as I can tell it's all fine as long as it's non-iodized) Then I hooked up an air pump and clipped the line to the top of the jar (a regular mason jar) to keep the outlet at the bottom of the jar, and put the jar on one of those single-pad coffee cup warmers (same as a candle warmer). You can get them at Goodwill for about a dollar. That was a problem for awhile, because if you leave it on constantly it brings the water up to 100ish F, and leaving it off brings it down to about 65, so you kind of have to go back every now and then and toggle it on and off. Eventually I stuck a ceramic plate under the jar as a buffer, but that didn't keep it completely stable either. Generally, though, it stayed around 85F. Anyway, most of the eggs hatched, and since I was planning to grow them out I transferred them to a larger tank after about 40 hours, using the same ratio for the water (1 tsp salt to 1C water). Right now I'm feeding them an ad hoc mix of spirulina powder, wheat germ, and a cichlid pellet that I crush to powder, and like I said, despite my best efforts to kill them they keep growing. Great product, and my only regret is that, if these guys breed like I plan for them to, I won't have to buy from here again.

Marginal Results at Best
I purchased this in conjunction with an in-tank hatchery. The idea being the brine shrimp hatch, mature, then swim into the open tank waters to be eaten by the larger fish. Hatching results were slim and the brine rarely matured. Often I flooded the hatchery to force the brine debris field into the tank along with the few living shrimp. The fish ate the debris and some of it was filtered out by the protein slimmer and general filtration sump. My hope was to create a stable quality food source for my fish but the system has not worked. I checked the water quality and temperature. All is well managed and seemed to be ideal conditions for hatching. I will try another approach out of the tank and see If I get better results.

Good hatch rate
I was weary because a lot of people said theirs did not hatch. But i had previously bought a vile at a pet store that was the same, so i chanced it, and i have a great hatch rate. People not having a good hatch rate may be doing something wrong. This is how i do it: I created 2 hatcheries inside my fry tank to keep the temp around 80 degrees, i fill a poland spring bottle with 82 degree water from the sink, one drop of prime water conditioner, and one drop of API pH up to make sure the pH is 8.2-8.4 (my tap pH is 7.6 already), i put the desired amount of eggs into the aerated hatchery, let them bubble in fresh water for one hour, then premix 1 tbsp of aquarium salt using the rest of the water i primed, and pour it into the hatchery and remaining salt that has not yet dissolved, and a good majority hatch within 24 hours, sometimes a little less time. I do not store the vile in the freezer because i use the whole vile within a few weeks. So far no issues, and approximately a 90% hatch rate.

Great for repopulating an already established sea monkey tank!
I know these are supposed to be for fish buuuut my current colony of sea monkeys was dying out so i only had one male and one female left in the tank still going strong. Aimce my tank was already established i ordered these to try instead of the sea monkeys refill kits because they just seemed to not be doing great so i just needed to slightly repopulate it... I sprinkled just a sea monkey feeding spoons full of the eggs into the water the other night and i checked them today and its already filled with so many babies!! They hatched far quicker then the sea monkeys brand ones BUT the sea monkeys brand kit is very very good to get the tank established so its still good to use those with a brand new tank! These however seem to be doing great for an already established tank if you need it repopulated! I hope to see them grow and repopulate the tank more!

Desktop pets
The first few times I tried to hatch these they did not live but a day or two. I think my water was too cold. I added a heater and suddenly I had a many little brine shrimp swimming around and many different sizes. So I think adding the heater allowed those first few who I thought did not hatch to be more active. I am delighted with these. I also toss a few egg cysts in both of my fresh water tanks every few days. I read that they will hatch in there and live a little longer than 30-45 mins since they do not have the salt water to fresh water shock. I figure that is long enough for my fish to find them. To be truthful, there is no way I would go through all the work it takes to raise these as a feed source. I would if I were a professional fish hatchery or breeding fish as a hobby, but as a very laid back hobbyist, these make better desktop companions. I set up a jar on an old aero garden 3 base, using it's light and air pump in the tank. Let the tank age for a few months (it was not supposed to be that long, it is just what happened while I decided on the brand of brine shrimp to buy: seriously, I research brands for more hours than I care to admit-it's brine shrimp LOL). Anyway, my jar has grown a nice bit of algae and I feed crushed spiraling and yeast once in a while but they are thriving little friends. There is not a fish that lives well in such a small jar (1 gal) so I needed a different water feature on my desk. This is perfect. It's too early to get a good picture right now, when there is natural lighting, I will add a photo of my little study buddies.

Excellent product as always.

Okay
I dislike the price for the product. There is more waste than I expected. It is however one of the better priced eggs available.

Good for a few fish.
Decent heart rate but for anybody with large amounts of mouths to feed, definitely not enough or sustainable. I was going through tube in 2 days

For the price NOT any better than the cheaper eggs I get locally
For the price NOT any better than the cheaper eggs I get locally. NOT impressed with the quantity of hatched baby shrimp. A lot of waste in the bottom of my San Francisco Hatchery. Will NOT buy it again !!!!
