The issue is the brain does not register it as food and the gag reflex kicks in. I have a 7 yr old boy who can swallow 8 pills at a time of all sizes. one being a omega 3 pill and they are HUGE!!! The key is to showing them that they already swallow something much larger when they eat. Have her chew a bite of bread and spit in into her hand right before she swallows. Then put the pill next to it. Her brain will see it and she should not have an issue after the first two tries. Reviews and comments took me to many different brands, however at the end of the day this vitamin supplement stood alone. For example, Magnesium. Rainbow offers 300 mg per serving (3 tablets) while magnesium was non-existent in some other brands. We bought these vitamins for our 14 year old son. He was taking *no* vitamins but a nutritionist suggested a light amount of a multivitamin supplement might be a good idea because our son is a picky (very selective) eater. We now give him just one tab a day with breakfast. So far so good. He does not find the pill hard to swallow.
