Tried a few IPAD mounts for my offroad truck and for the most part they are all bulky and don't really hold the iPad well. This is by far the lowest profile mount for an iPad. It has a good hold of the iPad but I would recommend adding some rubber strips for a tighter hold if you plan to offroad or have a ton of vibration.Only drawback is the little roller that helps putting in the iPad does rattle. It rattles a lot when you get going offroad. When I get my iPad installed I have to use a little sliver of paper to weed the roller and keep it from moving and rattling. Wish there was a different material like rubber or something so it would not make noise. But I will say this rattles way less than any other mount I've had.

Have used Ram mounts for years for various models of iPads and have never had a problem with the fit. This one is advertised for the iPad Air 4, and while it does fit, it is soooooo tight. I was hoping with all the complaints about the fit that something would have been done by now. But no. I’m genuinely afraid that I’m going to either crack the iPad glass or break the mount every time I put the iPad in or take it out. Not your best work, Ram…

IPAD PRO HARDLY FITS IN. IPAD protective shield make it unsuitable fit. Pleaseake the cradle to accommodate the IPAD WITH GLASS SHIELD

I have used Ram products since they first started and have been very happy with them. This will securely hold your iPad. My only issues are that it is a little tough getting the iPad in and out of the holder due to how tight it holds it which is a good thing if you don't have to take remove the iPad constantly throughout your day and the rattle noise this frame makes if the iPad is not in it due to the roller on the clasp that holds the iPad rattling against the frame. Other than that, it is perfect. I do kind of wish they would go back to the spring-loaded "X" clamp design they started with if you need to be constantly removing the iPad all the time and putting it back in quickly.

This mount makes you have to pick between a screen protector or having your iPad fit in the cradle. The way they've designed it, there is zero tolerance for the iPad to slide in. If you don't use a screen protector, then this will probably work (I didn't take mine off to find out).For a product designed to be used in aircraft, I can't see how why it was built this way. Returning and looking for other options.Two stars because the rest of the product's features, like having 3 mounting points and its relative sturdiness, are good.

love ability to mount three places on the back for max flexibility

If you have one of those stick-on screen protectors of basically any thickness, this RAM mount will not fit.For some reason, they've designed it to fit so snuggly that the thinnest glass-based peel-n-stick screen protectors will make this mount non-functional.The moderate force required to mount iPad Pro 11, cracked the glass protector. (Thankfully not the screen!) But to do this every time the iPad is mounted and unmounted is just asking for trouble, especially for a product line known for bendy screens.

The bottom corners are a little tight to fit the bottom of the iPad which makes the roller top a little tight to fit in but it does fit ok. RAM ROLLR Cradle is great. This is for my iPad Pro 11"
