How do you use this exactly? do you put a stick in the center hole or just hold it? how do you cast?

Its limited to the ways you can think of using it for. Once you get your line set up with bait, what you do slide your fingers in the round holes around the perimeter of the inside, then you draw some line out about 3 feet or so, then you can toss it where you want it or swing it around a few times to get some distance and throw the line out where you want it at the same time aim your wheel facing where you want the line to go and it will unspool as needed. Use your fingers to get a good grip on the wheel and wind back up to reel in your catch. Can be used as like a metal yoyo fishing reel where you tie it to a branch spring loaded to set the hook for you, can be a back up if your fishing pole breaks, could be attached to a bow for bow fishing , although you would have to change out the line for something suitable , fashion an emergency reel if you have the know how. You can use it for camp early detection system by hanging some cans or noise makers. Extra way to fish if your buddy doesn't own fishing pole. Great item for bug out bag.

What are the differences between 30lb and the 20lb line? I am newbie to fishig and handlining which one is better?

20lb line will work best for most situations you'll encounter. The kit with 20lb line also hold more line, because the line is thinner than 30lb line, giving you over 250 feet of line.

Does it stand up to salt water?

I’ve used it in salt water about 7 or 8 times and have experienced no corrosion or negative effects. I’ve used it in fresh water about twice that many times. But it still looks brand new and I’ve caught a ton of fish with it. Just my experience.

Pleasant Surprise

So I bought this on my way out of town to a family trip to northwest Florida. So many trips before, I would pack all my fishing gear and had the highest of hopes to wet a line while out on the beach. By the time I got the family eZ up pitched and everyone’s gear down to the beach, the thot of setting up my fishing stuff, lost its appeal. The Yoyito was perfect for me. I threw it in the beach bag and waded into the surf with a few strips of fish bites hooked up to a hi lo rig and a 1oz sinker. Once I was waist deep, I began to get the knack of a good cast. Being a lefty, I rewound it for a southpaw. After that, casting was effortless and I was consistently making 30-40 yard casts. Within minutes, I was getting nibbles and them a taker. I quickly wound the line up and Violá! A fish! I caught a dozen whiting, a small pompano & a few croaker. The best part was I was at a beach filled with vacationers and I didn’t need to make them dodge my lines staked at the waterside complete with nasty looks. Lol Overall I’m impressed with it especially for my philosophy of use. It’s well made, slick looking and feels good in the hand. Enjoy!

Nice PC of work but....

The cnc works is impeccable! Not sure about the line yet though... two things seems to be an issue though, 1 the pouch is so tight, it's hard to push it to the bottom so you can zip it up when the weights are in there. Even if it's in the cone area. 2 the belt straps are 90 degrees out. I would prefer the opening to be on the top, not side! Other than that, so far so good!

Great hand reel

The yoyito hand reel is well crafted aluminum. Its light in the hand and feels natural when casting. The finger holes are an awesome addition. I also love how it can be used in a "set and forget* fashion due to the small holes on the one side. It comes with an awesome pouch which can be put on your belt. Its very portable. They even include an assortment of different size hooks and weights. I am very pleased with this purchase and have so far caught 2 trout using. It. Definitly reccomend this for random on the go fishing, or even back packing.
