Neat Puzzle. I gave one to Mumsy for Christmas, and she made me solve it. I wanted the fun of watching her figure it out. This is an interesting conversation piece as well as having entertainment value ( as a puzzle ). Well made. Fits tight. If you think about it, this puzzle solves by logic, so while difficult for kids/adults, it shouldn't be impossible. The most important thing with any puzzle or any riddle is to not let the puzzle get the best of you, and in this case, that means letting our emotions out in frustration is of no value, whilst staying calm, studying the parts, thinking about it, observing everything. In the problem lies the solution. Oh, as far as this being called a "coaster puzzle", any coffee mug I know of would be larger than the size of this puzzle ( in the solved state ), so I would caution people that want it as a coaster... It isn't going to work for anything but tea cups that should have their own saucers in any case. So, 5 stars on the puzzle part of the description, 0 stars for the coaster part, but this could be a language ambiguity. I bought it to be an interesting gift and a cool puzzle that you didn't have to be at a table to be tinkering with, and for this, it is really cool, and is a lot of fun. The solution is also something that may help young minds ( or older ones as well... ) develop a facility for abstraction, which, like solving puzzles, is a valuable reasoning skill with application in life and in work.

I absolutely love this mind game puzzle! It’s both challenging and engaging, keeping me entertained for hours. The design is clever, with intricate pieces that fit together perfectly, and the quality is outstanding. Each level of the puzzle offers a unique challenge, making it fun to solve progressively. I’ve found it to be a great way to unwind and exercise my brain at the same time. It’s perfect for both solo play and group challenges. If you enjoy puzzles that make you think outside the box, I highly recommend this one! It’s a fantastic addition to my collection.

Exceptional build quality, not very easy one to solve. Love it!

Fun to fidget with but I was never able to solve it until I read another review suggesting to get out the lubricant and once I gave it a spritz with the WD-40, I was able to get it apart in about five minutes. It seems less of a solving puzzle with a logical solution than just a trial and error to puzzle that will eventually come apart from playing with enough times the right way and it comes apart. Still like fiddling with while watching TV or on the train etc but not sure there's much thought needed to solve it

Kids love a challenge and keeps them occupied. Not exceptionally hard puzzle but it's a real teaser.

Gifted my father this who doesn’t like or want anything and loves building making things. He used it immediately and silently played with it. For perfectly in your hand easy to bring and perfect for grown ups and teens. Good material that doesn’t break quick.

By far my favorite puzzle. I am new to puzzles, and found this puzzle challenging (but not frustratingly so). The timeline for my experience with this puzzle is below: - It took me ~1.5 hours to solve. When I took it apart, I had no idea how I did it - It took me 3 hours to figure out how to put it back - Spent another 2 hours taking it apart and putting it back together a couple of times. At this point, I found out "the trick" Despite knowing "the trick" to this puzzle, it is still my favorite and has a welcome spot on my desk. I often take it apart and put it back to together (~5 seconds now) just for fun. The action of the puzzle is memorizing to me and despite taking it apart hundreds of times now, it still provides me with satisfaction and a mild sense of accomplishment. Prior to this purchase, I was unfamiliar with the Hanayama brand but have been pleasantly surprised through my experience with Marble. The toy is aesthetically pleasing to view and heavy and smooth in the hands. It is the type of toy I am not afraid to showcase in my office. My only complaint is that this toy is smaller than I originally anticipated it to be (please see pictures below for reference). I would have paid double the price to have an exact replica of this puzzle, but double the size. *Of note, despite some of the other review comments, this puzzle does not act as a fidget spinner. While it does have a ball in the center of the puzzle, it does not act as a bearing (like a fidget spinner). It does rotate, but despite my best efforts, cannot do a full revolution on a single spin.

Nothing negative to say about it. It is challenging enough that my husband can't solve it haha.

I love these type of puzzles. I own several Hanayama Puzzles, and they have never been disappointing. Always High Quality, Beautifully Designed, Wonderfully Polished, and Hyperbolically reviewed. I can't wait to order another one...
