What is the amount of Polypodium leucotomos? By itself, not mixed with other ingredients.

Sunsafe Rx contains 250 mg of Polypodium leucotomos leaf extract per capsule. This is the doctor-recommended dosage and approximately the dosage that has been studied extensively and found to be effective in many clinical trials (they vary).

Sunsafe Rx has a proprietary formulation called Antioxidine; we don't generally disclose the amounts of each ingredient, but in this case we have decided to share this information on P. leucotomos with everyone, not just the dermatologists we work with. However, you should also know that each capsule of Sunsafe Rx is made to be as effective as possible at protecting your skin. This means that, even more importantly than the dosage of P. leucotomos, Sunsafe Rx also contains a number of other efficacious ingredients, at precise quantities, that have each been clinically shown to protect your skin from UV rays and are healthy for your skin and eyes.

Is it normal for these pills to have a fishy smell/weird taste? I bought another brand of similar pills and they’re odorless.

Thank you for your interest in Sunsafe Rx! Sunsafe Rx capsules are odorless as the ingredients are sealed in capsules. Also, there are no other products similar to Sunsafe Rx. Sunsafe Rx is the most efficacious product on the market; you can't get this combination and amount of antioxidants anywhere else in one capsule.

The ingredients are very strong and sometimes, for instance, a tiny amount of fish oil powder may be present on the outside of some of the capsules. A slight scent isn't any reason for pause and doesn't affect the safety or effectiveness of the product at all. If you want, you may leave the top off the bottle for a short time to help the smell dissipate.
