I recently installed a lithium battery in my antique Triumph motorcycle, and I wanted a charger which would properly charge it without damage. Standard chargers are designed with various cycles for lead-acid batteries and can damage lithium cells. This charger is lightweight and well-made, and has a switch to change the cycle for standard batteries to lithium cells. It also has a very bright display which provides important information about the battery and charging process. Since it works for both standard and lithium batteries, it is versatile and I am very pleased with it.

I bought this back in July of 2021. So this is a review for it After a few seasons of use. I use it mostly to charge 2 LiFePO4 20ah batteries on my RC Mower I built. Takes about 4-5 hours to charge my batteries up from about 10-15% charge to full. I know when the batteries are charged when it says 0.0 amps because the BMS modules in the batteries stop allowing any more power in. I normally have to set it to Manual mode to fully top off the batteries but it gets them to about 80-90% which is what you want to do to extend the battery life if your going to take it almost to 0% all the time. I had a few SLA batteries in some PC UPS battery backups I used it on to try and bring them back to life and it worked like a charm. Used it to revive an ATV battery a few times when one of my family members accidentally left the key on and the lights on for the ATV. Also used it to charge up some Deep Cycle AGM batteries on the RV. Used it to revive my old 69 Chevy's truck battery that sat dead for a little over a year. Granted I had to leave it on it for like 2 days but it did it... sadly the truck still doesn't run right but that's a different problem this little guy can't fix. Now, I've read though a bunch of the other reviews on here and other issues people have had. Honestly, never had any of those issues and its just worked great for me out of the box. So I can't say you won't get a lemon. Honestly, that's a possibility now a days on anything you buy with all the companies lowering their QC standards. But, if you need a charger give this little guy a try. Its been a good little workhorse for the farm and for the price its paid for its self.

its cheapish, I've bought 4 in total, the most recent in 2023ish not because they break, but because its sturdy built and just charges.. 1 for the house, 1 for the shop and and 1 for the shed. I did loose one, but I left it plugged in under the hood of a car outside (hood half popped no less), for a completely unreasonable number of months (over a year including an ohio winter). I deducted 1 star because I've never seen it do anything to show it can "pulse charge/repair" a battery, but to be honest I knew that after the first one, it passes the drop test and is well enough made, yes the cords are abysmally short, like all the cheaper chargers, but then when I'm storing them they aren't super tangled, so... meh? if you need something with a manual mode to get your car/Rv/toys going and your wanting something you can set, forget and not worry about a power flicker changing the mode or stopping it from completing in automatic mode, it does that great. this thing would benefit greatly from having the ends cut off and wiring in a SAE plug to work with battery tender/other accessories, and when you wear out the clamps in a few years, I recommend it.

I accidentally ran down the large lead acid battery on my tractor last winter. Had to jump start it every time I used it after that. The alternator wasn’t putting off enough power to recharge it. So I bought this charger because it can function as a regular charger and switch to maintenance mode when the battery is charged. Very hands off / automated. When I received it, the charger looked a bit small for my planned use. But, I figured I’d try it. I plugged it in and hooked it up overnight. The next day, my tractor started easily and quickly. The battery was as powerful as when I first got it. Haven’t had to charge it again since then. Very pleased customer

Due to COVID, I was hardly using my car anymore so after a month or so the battery would drain down to about 11.5 volts from lack of use. I already had an ancient 6 amp/2 amp charger/maintainer so I would use that to top up the battery to the required 12.6 volts. Unfortunately, that would literally take me 3 whole days to achieve and that ancient charger would get really hot trying to do its job. I needed something better. When I saw the Outerman MF-2B listed in Amazon, it appeared to be exactly what the doctor ordered. I purchased one and tried it out just yesterday. Amazing! It charged my battery right up to 13.0 volts in only 6 hours and when I checked the temperature of the case, it was only slightly warm. The built-in voltmeter is a handy option which allows you to keep tabs on the charging process. I compared the voltmeter on the unit with a laboratory Digital Volt Meter and they were within 0.1 volt of each other which is very good accuracy. To be honest, I had my doubts that something as small and light as the MF-2B could put out a full 10 amps, but now I'm a believer. After disconnecting the MF-2B and letting the battery rest for a couple of hours, the voltage settled down to the required 12.6 volts for a fully charged battery. The unit is so simple and convenient to use I can now charge my battery on regular schedule every 2 weeks or so. This is a great little unit. My only complaint is that the red and black wires tend to get tangled, but I solved that problem by taping them together and leaving just enough slack to attach the clips to the battery. That totally solved the problem. I'm tempted to buy another one for my grown son, but we'll leave that decision for Christmas.

The first time I used this item, I heard something rattling on the inside and when I removed the cover two pieces off of the circuit board had broken off before I ever even had a chance to use it very cheaply made

The Outerman car battery charger 12/24, so far so good. It does well, well in getting the most out of a battery, meaning over time the capacity of any battery diminishes and with most chargers they will condemn the battery with the least amount of resistance in the battery, not so with this charger it will revive an old dead battery if there is any life left in it. Batteries that were condemned by another charger I have brought back to life with the Outerman.

I have a vehicle that sits for long periods of time. I try to start it occasionally, but most times I'll neglect to which leads to a dead battery. I decided to invest in this particular charger. I charged my very dead battery over night(Approx. from 7pm to 9am). I wasn't totally sure how to operate this so I charged in the automatic mode. When I initially hooked the charger to the battery the indicator showed 1amp. I believe when fully charged it would indicate 8 amp. When I checked it the next morning the indicator was showing 1.3 amp, and was still charging. I would have thought the duration of charging would have showed a higher amp, so I switched to manual mode for a couple of hours and It never reached a higher amp reading, so I decided to start the vehicle anyway and it fired right up. It's been over a month now and my old car starts right up. In the end, ultimately it did the job.

Purchased the charger after a thorough study and comparing other chargers as well. The car was not used for almost a month and didn't crank anymore. When connected the dead battery with the charger, the LCD displayed 12Volts and 0 Amp on the battery. After charging the battery with their automatic mode (Not manual mode) for about 4 hours, the LCD displayed 14 Volts and 4.3 Amp. That was fast but I didn't unplug the charger yet. I left the charger for overnight connected with the battery and in the morning, the LCD displayed 15 Volts and 7.3 Amp. I unplugged from the charger and installed the battery, car started right away. This charger saved me around $160 CAD as the new battery would have costed almost $220 CAD. Tested the Manual mode as well. The battery heated a little bit when I left the charger under the manual mode for 1 hour. I think its similar to a quick charge mode but without the trickle down effect (no cut off after full charge). Delivery was prompt and on-time as usual.

Works perfectly. Love the digital display showing volts and current. Auto setting reduces the current as the battery becomes fully charged to a trickle charge. Only used it on my trailers deep cycle marine battery so far. Never expected this quality for 50 bucks. Charge cables could be a bit longer though.
