A Beautiful, Functional Implement
I’d previously ordered (from here) a less expensive model of this brand that wasn’t made in the USA. It’s a great knife for the price but this is absolutely just a great knife! As soon as I picked it up, I could feel the difference in quality. The fit and finish was more tuned to aesthetics and functionality and the balance and materials were way nicer. Both tiers of knives have their places but this one is my EDC. I realize many more knives are much more expensive but for EDC, this is about my top price. The finish on the handles is what I noticed first. It feels nice and not slipppery as I had worried. It’s pretty light overall but not in a bad way...if that makes any sense. The finish of the blade is great, the edge was almost razor sharp out of the box and it holds an edge very well for me. The lock to prevent it from opening accidentally is nice because you can use it or ignore it. I’m loving this and recommend it (just not for prying as the tip is indeed small).

Worth the money
I think Kershaw knives are the best. I love the green color and it’s extremely sharp. It stays in your pocket.

Super nice for it's intended use
I needed a new EDC for light duty use and this fits the bill. Highlights: -Speedsafe action is snappy and a pleasure to use. -Finish is smooth but not slippery, perfect. -Love the understated olive drab w/stainless steel blade. The contrasting color scheme works and it's mellow enough looking for EDC at work. The orange looks nice as well, and easy to find if placed somewhere, but I prefer the muted color of the olive drab for EDC. For camping a bright color is nice. Some things to consider: -It has a thumb stud that protrudes on both sides of the blade. It also serves as a blade stopper. If using the thumb screw(s) to open be careful. I find that if I only use my thumb to open the blade, my thumb can easily slip forward during the opening of the blade, and I've come close to slicing my thumb. I probably won't ever use the studs to open but when I do, I find that using my thumb in conjunction with my forefinger works better. Better control and no slipping on to the blade. -The blade "open" lock is fine. I have no need for it however. It's not like this thing will just magically open in your pocket. It takes a purposeful effort. I'll probably tighten the screw down so it never locks on it's own. Right now, as new, it's a non-issue but I can see it getting looser and start locking unintentionally. -The lock bar is plastic, some complain but there's a reason for it. The lock can be "locked" when the blade is open, and if closed while the lock is engaged the blade will fall on the lock bar. If it were metal, this could damage the blade. -This is a light duty EDC for me. If you work on a dock or similar and need a work knife to open heavy cardboard and cut straps all day every day then get an appropriate knife with a more substantial heavy duty blade.. -The finish is smooth, but not totally smooth. It's anodized steel with a shot-peen type of finish. It's perfect for my EDC, but if working with oily or wet hands, not at all ideal. Get something with G10 and a proper rough grip. Love it so far and i have no idea why some complain that it rides high in the pocket. It's fine/normal compared to other knives I've had, including Kershaw. 4-5 times the money of a drug store knife, 10x the value. EDIT: I now see how if you carry point up, the knife rides much higher. The lock mechanism takes up real estate at the bottom of the handle if carried this way it rides higher. I carry point down so no issue in that config.

Nice, sharp pocket knife.
Very sharp, cuts paper and shaved hair. Good size a nice optional locking mechanism. Nice, firm spring gives great and consistent flipping action. Easy to operate with one hand. I like the sleek design, but the aluminum body threw me off as it feels somewhat cheap and as if it’ll break or something. I’ve gotten used to this after about a week and now I like it. I’m still weary about what would happen if it were dropped on cement… the steel blade is good but I feel that the tip may snap off if it were to drop while open. I'd recommend buying a ceramic honing rod to keep it razor sharp. Overall good quality for the price, and would make a nice gift for $50. I’d recommend.

I love this knife, it's my goto daily carry.
I've owned this knife for awhile now, and came across it on the reviews page, and thought I'd leave my opinion on it. This is probably the best daily carry pocket knife I've ever owned, the tip is needle sharp, and the blade holds a sharpen for a surprisingly long time. The sliding lock sometimes gets a little difficult to open, would be the only downside I've seen with this knife, but easily remedied. Overall 9/10. You need this knife in your life, I suggest it.

Best pocket knife I've ever owned! No question.
I bought this because I'd had one previously and it was the best knife I've ever owned. Sadly, I lost the old one and I knew I wouldn't be happy with anything else, so I was very pleased to find the exact same knife here. The spring-assist opening action is a big part of why I love this knife. It's quick and easy; reliable one-hand open every time (but it also has a tip lock, so it isn't TOO easy to use, no accidental openings). And it's very durable; my husband once ran over the old knife in the driveway in his truck (the knife was closed) and it only suffered minor cosmetic damage--the paint on the handle chipped where the gravel dug into it, and that was all. No damage or change to the functionality of the knife after it had been run over. I continued to use that knife for years after the fact. Overall, a great quality folding knife, stays very sharp, comfortable size/fit in the hand, durable/reliable & excellent features: quick/easy assisted opening, safe tip-lock and secure hold-in-place pocket clip. Can't recommend highly enough and obviously would buy again, since this is my second one.

Have carried for a year
I wanted to give this knife a 5. I REALLY, REALLY did. The blade is near perfect for work (fiber tech) The Speedsafe action is the best assisted opening action in the business. This is MY opinion. Some may feel different, but to me it's perfect. The edge retention is better than most in this price range. You have the ability to carry point up or point down by moving the pocket clip. As a matter of fact, I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS KNIFE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 1 THING. I have not seen one that is offered with something other than these super slick handle scales. WTH Kershaw, put some G10s on here, or offer those for sale on your site please. It is dangerously slick, and it forces a competent knife user to hold it a certain way! Please for the love of Jesus give a better option.

Great EDC
The construction of this knife is top notch. Razor sharp right out of the box. The tip is very... pointy? Not sure what the correct terminology for this is, but it's insanely small and precise. This knife will puncture like nobody's business. The only downside that I see so far is that it's small... almost too small? It's perfectly functional in all aspects, but I worry about losing it because it's so lightweight I don't even notice I'm carrying it! The clip is nice, but I can't wear a knife clip at work so it gets to sit in my pocket until I see an unsuspecting package or box to defile. I recently learned I like cutting paper with a knife. Who would've knew it was so much fun?! Anyways this knife is sharp, on point (no pun intended... well maybe a little), and very light weight. Perfect for EDC in my book. Now if you'll excuse me I have to look for more things to cut and stab! . . . it's not what it sounds like i promise. :)
