Long or very tall grass can swirl around the head if you don't keep the cutting height low, stay close to the ground. The blade guard became a hinderance when in brambles only, it kept snagging on cut brambles so clear cut brambles away from the cutting area, easier said than done. This has been the best device for clearing brambles. Just be careful where the cutting blade goes. But I have saved myself hundreds in hiring equipment. ### ⭐ waste of time and effort *by R***. on 4 July 2026* difficult to start, arrived a week ago, this was my first use, eventually got it started and strimming tall grass and nettles (about 3-4ft high) was cutting okay for about 20 minutes until everything started wrapping around the head blocking the strimmer wire. It also doesn't appear to have an obvious way of controlling the idle speed of the engine so when I released the trigger the engine immediately stalled out. With the engine stopped I switched to the brushcutter blade thinking that would be better and would stop grass wrapping around.
