Review: Great for the price. - Had a shorting out Nagoya whip on my Jeep, saw this, decided to try it out. The magnet is strong enough to withstand weather and such. I would definitely take it off before a car wash, were I to ever take a Jeep through one. Center of the steel roof, works great. Got clean signal to one repeater 9 miles away, unit-to-unit about 4 miles where the previous whip was scratchy at 3 miles. Can't attest to Ham capability, works fantastic on GMRS though. Unit is sealed, we'll see how weatherproof it is as Dallas heads into winter. Extremely small, but punches like a bigger antenna. I like it a lot.

Nice antenna and great to have over the longer metal antenna that usually keeps you out of parking garages. The magnet is strong, but I am not sure it is a flush as I would like. But it looks good and does not take away from the car. Value for the money is there because at the price you are not risking much.
