The sensor portion has 2 sensors for each of the LED lights to aim at which provides a V shaped perimeter. The beam was visible at quite a distance, of course the farther away they are from the sensor the more tricky aiming them is but the harder to spot ;) These can be positioned at differing heights and angles or you can span 2 elevated surfaces for a fun game of 'Lazer Limbo'.
