Excellent quality and sound
These pickups are great. Not just great for the price, but great overall. I have another guitar that I put Seymour Duncanโs in, and these are very close to those in terms of tone, output and power.
User
Great pickups, they look fantastic.
I put these in a Gibson green widow and they look fantastic. Nice output and sound. They came wax potted and work fantastic No noise or microphonic

Great value for the price -- schematic would have been nice
OK, for starters, these are not Gibson's or Seymour Duncan's and it would be absurd to compare them to those or other high-end brands. What they are, though, is a good economical upgrade for an economy instrument, and in that niche they are great pickups.I had a Chinese made Squire Strat that had a little "accident" with the bridge humbucker, and I needed to replace the pickup. It made no sense to put a $200 pickup into a $250 guitar, so I went looking for something more appropriate and found these. Not only were they low-cost, but they actually sound better than the original generic pickup. Solidly built, good magnets, and wired so that you can split coils if desired. While some reviewers have complained about getting two bridge or two neck pickups, I did not have that issue. I got -- nicely boxed -- one bridge and one neck pickup, appropriately spaced and marked.I have two little caveats, neither one big enough to dock a star. First off, I wish an actual schematic had been included. I was able to sus-out the wiring and coil orientation with a digital multimeter, and amp, and some clip-leads -- but including of a simple line drawing would have made that unnecessary.Second caveat is that the pickup adjustment screws have r-e-a-l-l-y tiny heads. I was worried they were going to slip through the holes for the pickup I removed, so I added a small washer to each.Other than that -- I would have paid $25 for one of these. Getting two for that price was a steal.

Work o.k. for me.
I bought these as an inexpensive set to tinker with on a new, budget Strat-style guitar. With the combination of these two pickups, new full size pots, new 3-way switch, new wiring, new pickguard, I turned a HSS Chinese strat into a good sounding HH strat. The sum of all the parts made a better sounding guitar. These pickups are better than the originals, and pretty cheap.

UPGRADED LEO JAYMZ LES PAUL!!!
I replaced everything on this guitar!!! It literally has nothing original it came with other than the body, neck, and input jack! I installed these pickups, and they sound amazing!!! These are very scary on point to Dimarzio pickups! These two pickups are the budget equivalent of the Dimarzio tone pro neck pickup, and the super distortion in the bridge position!!! This guitar after all the upgrades, plays as good if not better than my 2010 Gibson Les Paul Custom! The finish on this guitar is beautiful and the binding and frets are flawless and the rosewood fretboard is beautiful after I cleaned and treated it with pure lemon oil. I upgraded all the electronics and hardware with Guyker locking tuners, tunomatic stop piece and floating bridge, Epiphone potentiometers, wiring and switches, and of course, the best 25 bucks worth of pickups I've ever seen or heard. The craftsmanship and assembly of this guitar seems hand built and very meticulous in quality! The bookmatched curly flame maple top is 3/16" and not a cheap veneer silk screen or a photo like the majority of Les Paul copies out there for sale.. I spent 190 bucks on this guitar, and it was packed very well in a styrofoam fitted box/case, and then carefully packed in 2 outer fitted/padded double-walled corrugated shipping boxes. It was playable right out of the box, and as it was shipped, it is a great guitar for beginners or novice players! I spent an additional 250 bucks on all the upgrades; which I had planned on doing from the start. For a mere 440.00 dollars; I have a beautiful, amazing playing and sounding Les Paul Custom... That's right; I customized it, and it plays as good as my real Gibson Les Paul! If you're looking for a great looking, sounding, and crafted Les Paul on a budget, do yourself a favor and buy a Leo Jaymz Les Paul. They come in a variety of design graphics and colors . This one. in particular, is a beautiful 3AAA+ curly flame maple top finish that is faded red at the neck pocket and gets darker red and a deeper flame grain as it blends toward the bridge and tunomatic stop piece. The pics cannot capture in focus just how immaculate and stunning the finish is on this awesome guitar! If you're interested, just reply back to me, and I'll share the parts list, costing, and how to corectly install all the goodies...๐ธ ๐ธ ๐ธ ๐ธ ๐ธ... 5 stars!!!

Excellent pickups
These pickups really surprised me. Nickel base plates not the cheaper brass, magnets are in fact alnico which is surprising at this price. Measured the DC resistance and got 15.05k on the bridge and 7.92k on the neck. The tone is very good. Cleans have that "bell like" quality to them. Into an overdriven amp they have great clarity and note separation on chords, harmonics ring out easily and they clean up really well with the guitar volume control. Tone wise the best comparison I can make is a Seymour Duncan Custom 5 for the bridge. I have this pickup in another guitar and as far as EQ curve and output level they are very, very similar. The neck is like a SD 59 with a touch more output and slightly less bright. There is no muddiness in the low end on either pickup and the treble is clear but not harsh. Output and tone wise the set balances extremely well. No volume jump switching back and forth and the EQ response of each pickup works great together so you don't have to live with a muddy neck tone or an overly bright bridge tone when you dial in an amp.Overall these really are every bit as good as the mass produced Seymour Duncan, Dimarzio, Gibson etc... pickups IMHO. At 25 bucks a set I think these are a steal.

great quaiity got 3 sets now all great!!
great pickups for 26 bucks. 16.2 ohm bridge 7.9 on the neck which is a sweet sounding pickup. came with a diagram for wiring white and red go together or for split. black is hot green n ground go to ground for those that did not get the diagram. adjustment screws do have smallish heads and smaller threads than the leo jaymz but worked fine.I wanted red on a white sg looks cool glad they were so good sounding as well. so I put em in my leo lp and in my firefly explorer. they all sound worlds better than the cheep stuff that often come in a lot of budget guitars. the saphue made them not sound budget!
User
Sound great, actually
Put these in an Epiphone Les Paul project Ive been trying to complete. They sound better than what Epiphone had put in there from the factory. I like 'em
User
