Very impressed, this printer is AWESOME !!!
let me just start off by saying i LOVE this printer. i purchased this printer before actually going threw and reading reviews ( i know i know dumb move) but in my defense i was looking for a printer that was compatible with my HP chrome book. because my old canon printer would not connect to my chrome book what so ever, so i did a lot of research and this printer came up a lot so i found it for a decent price on here and bought it. well after i bought it i go threw and start reading reviews after reading them i was so worried i bought a piece of crap. well let me inform you this printer is AWESOME! i read so many reviews about it being Slow.. this printer is no where near slow, ( unless I'm out of the loop & there's a printer out there that's lighting speed that i know nothing about) this printer IS NOT SLOW! it prints off a full page of words/ pictures in seconds. setup - it took me less than 5 minutes to set this printer up. really easy set up i will say you are REQUIRED to download the HP printer app to set this printer up but don't worry you just push a few buttons and its set up. HP printer app- the HP printer app is required for set up, but you're going to want this app it connects to smart phones and tablets. i have a iPhone and it works great with it. its nice because say you're scrolling on your phone you see something you need to print, just save it to your phone go to the HP printer app select print & BAM! your printer is printing what you need from your phone. which is SO nice so you don't have to hop on the computer and print it off. the HP printing app for your phone is a nice touch and i LOVE it!!.... instant ink- i DID NOT BUY instant ink. i did read a few reviews about that prior to purchase and i decided it wasn't for me so i can't comment on instant ink, but i will tell you the ink that came with this printer worked for me. i did read where a few people couldn't use the ink provided in the box because they didn't buy the instant ink well that's not the case with me. so i don't understand why some people had issues with their ink. but i did buy extra ink just in case because i didn't want to have a new printer with no ink. so i'm already ready for when my ink does run out lol... so i guess don't worry about buying extra ink right now because the ink provided worked. but just do whatever you'd like. Print quality- its excellent for words & pictures tech support- i cant comment because i have not needed to talk to tech support scanner- i have not used the scanner, but it looks nice and i don't think ill have any issues with scanning something or the clarity, so all in all I'm very happy with my printer, i've already told my friends and family how awesome this printer is. i know some people have some crappy reviews but in my personal opinion this printer is awesome and you'll LOVE it. way to go HP you did great with this printer!

Fine home printer
This printer works just fine. The Wireless feature is an upgrade for our home, and has turned out to be quite convenient. Just like with any other home printer i've had, every once and a while for whatever reason, it needs to be unplugged and plugged back in to work. If it's printed a few things, i don't know the connection falters or something, just pause and cancel the current workload unplug from wall, give it a ten second reset and plug it back in. It'll pick up right where it left off most likely. Or just go back in and print the document again from whatever page you left off at. Not sure what that weird little glitch is, but our previous printer did the same thing. Other than that we're happy with it.

Piece of junk
I used printers for many years, this is the WORST printer I had the cursed chance to own. This printer is a piece of junk. Not only HP requires you to log in their website to use their dumb product, the printer will refuse to load paper if you have more than 5 sheets in the tray. Furthermore It stopped working when the warranty ran out. Using this piece of crap, you will have to watch it print like it was a wild 2 year old kid mostly because the paper will jam. Th HP connect is a freaking scam, if your printer disconnects from the network, it will stop working even locally. DONT BUY THIS

Perfect for home use
I bought this to replace an aging OfficeJet 4500 that didn't have the wireless function. Though this model does not print as fast as the OfficeJet, it is still fast enough for my occasional home use, and the print quality is more than adequate. I never used the Fax feature on the old printer, in fact, I don't even have a landline any longer. We currently have two laptops connected through our wireless network without any issues at all. I was a little worried by the bad reviews, but suspect that many of the issues were from people connecting and using their phones, especially with a direct wireless connection. I really like the way this printer looks in my home office. Very clean and modern looking. I'm so glad that white is back in fashion because the dust doesn't show up as easily. I also like the fact that the paper feeder is vertical at the back, and the output tray can be left folded up unless I need it for a big job. Same with the scanner document feeder, the paper tray can be folded up, and I can still feed it one sheet at a time. Those feeders were big dust collectors on the OfficeJet, and made keeping it clean a real nightmare. The setup was easy using HP Smart, and adding devices was even easier. Have not tried connecting a phone yet because we don't use our phones for much more than calling and texting. As far as the ink cartridges go, I did not sign us up for Instant Ink because we only need ink maybe every 18 months. I also discovered that buying 3rd party HP67XL refilled ink cartridges work very well, and save me money in the long run. For some reason, probably to appear lower priced, HP only fills their XL cartridges with enough ink for a tad over 200 pages. The Yatunink cartridges I bought yield 630 pages of black and 400 pages of color, and work just as well.

Slow Responsive Speed, Print Quality is mediocre
It's an affordable printer, which means you can't expect much out of it, the software that you use (whether it's the HP Smart or any other app) to communicate with the printer hardware is lagging all the time. Probably because the printer hardware isn't top-notch. You will need to wait for quite a bit for the printer to actually start its job queue. To make the matter worse, the printer will undergo sleep mode from time to time, and never wake up, thus you do need to turn the machine off and on to make it functional once again. The print quality isn't really good either, the edges of the text/image will be cut off very often depending on the software you are using to send the data.

Very Nice Home Printer - Once you get it figure out
It came in pretty fast about three days. Easy to unpack....but a little difficult to start up. Let me explain. My wife and I are not computer savvy at all we are past 65. So it took us two days to figure out everything specially y how to connect to the internet. For a person that knows what they are doing easy I'm sure. The HP explanations are printed for those people that know just about everything. But for us older computer No Knows is hell on earth. It would be nice if HP printed step by step format push this do this etc one step at a time. I could not connect to the internet what so ever, thought that the machine would be picked up by my computer and that was it. Took me 2 days to figure out that you have to press the darn Internet button on the machine it lights up that is when the computer finds the printer. Well me dummy did not know that and it took me two days. The HP instructions does not say a thing what so ever about this. Only to connect and go to the HP site where it asks you info on the printer so it can connect. Any ways once I figure all of this out the little printer did its job and it great we probably print three times one or two or three pages per month so this machine is great for us.

Thanks HP
I bought this printer Jan, 2021 and almost 5 years later it is still the best investment I made. It was easy to setup and start working. I worked from home from 2021 till Oct, 2025 and constantly use this printer for scanning and printing many documents. I am retired now and still use it for printing all my documents and many other various things. Have to say HP is the way to go.
