How tightly do the clips grip? Do they ever slip?

I use these Suspenders, to hold up my Heavy Leather Blacksmithing Apron. They work great for that! The clips grip tight, and do not come loose, until you unclip them.

In the Dominican Republic. Good quality and well made, as expected from Dickies. Snaps are heavy duty and hold exceptionally well. I use them to hold up my snow pants when I ski.

How bad to these metal-toothed-clips tear-up the waist-band?

These are very sharp and work well to retain the waist-band. However, they do begin to damage the waist-band material quickly and should not be used with expensive pants. Best used where work clothing is needed and function is most important.

Me enamoré de estos tirantes.

La pinza es sólida en la mordida, de materiales resistentes y un ancho suficiente para no clavarse en el hombro aún después de varias horas. Son de 5 cm de largo (aprox) con correas resistentes y rígidas, como usuario de tirantes es genial encontrar unos que mantengan en su sitio los pantalones sin que caigan por culpa del elástico. No son los más estéticos pero sin duda los más funcionales.
