Unbeatable Value: 5-Pack for the Price of One at HD
The kit came neatly packaged and included the necessary hardware to ensure a leak free connection. The material appears to be sturdy and long lasting with accurate thread and barb dimensions across the lot. For the price and same day shipping you'd be doing yourself a disservice going to a big box store to get these supplies.

>>> DOES THE JOB
> Excellent quality. As good as any hose repair kit I've ever used --- and I've repaired lotsa hoses. I repaired three hoses with this kit, and saved about $100, compared to the cost of three new hoses. > Solid brass > Measure the inside diameter of your hose. You'll probably have to cut off the old broken fitting in order to measure the inside diameter of your hose. These fittings have an outside diameter 1/2" --- so, use for hoses with an inside diameter of 1/2" (or very slightly smaller, i.e., 7/16"). > For hoses more than 1/2" inside diameter, larger fittings will be easier to install, and will restrict the flow of the water less. That is, for 5/8" and 3/4" inside diameter hoses, use larger fittings. CONS > Because the fittings are solid brass (and therefore the walls of the fittings are thick), the flow is restricted down to about 5/16" diameter, which will reduce the pressure in the hose. It would be the same with any hose repair kit. The point is, always use the right size fittings --- and, if you aren't sure between (for example 1/2" and 5/8" fittings, err on the large side). Don't trust the description of any repair fitting which does not tell you the exact outside diameter of the fitting. Claims that a repair fitting will work for any size hose between 1/2" and 3/4" are simply not true. > On a stiff older hose, it can be very hard to tighten the clamp tight enough to prevent leakage. Oddly, cutting the end of your old hose square makes a big difference in reducing leakage. That can be difficult. In my experience, it is best to use a box cutter with a new blade, against a wooden base (such as a scrap piece of 2x4) --- even so, great care is necessary --- box cutters can be dangerous --- especially when trying to cut old, stiff, thick-walled hoses. I've also used sheet metal shears. > In any case, an excellent solution to leakage is to liberally apply Goop brand adhesive to the fitting before inserting into the hose, then tighten the clamp tight, and wait several days for the glue to dry before using the hose. > The clamp leaves a long "tongue" which can cut your hands when you try to install the hose on a faucet or connect another hose, etc. with just your hands So, use pliers to mash down the "tongue". Wear gloves to install the hose on a faucet etc. and/or use a monkey wrench or a mechanic's wrench. > Comes with gaskets for the female fittings. The gaskets will work better if smeared with silicon grease (on both sides). Silicon grease will also be easier to tighten the hose onto your faucets etc., if you put silicon grease on the threads of the fittings as well. > For larger repair fittings: If the fitting is a little too large for your hose, you may be able to heat the end of the hose in very hot water, so that it will stretch and accept a larger fitting. That will also result in a tight fit which will greatly reduce the possibility of leakage.

Great price & product
This repair kit is fantastic. The brass connectors are heavy-duty, well-machined, and create a completely leak-free seal. It comes with plenty of extra washers and clamps, making it super easy to salvage damaged hoses. Great value for a quality product.

They look beautiful and without flaws. They all work good.
Very beautiful brass connectors without flaws. They also work very well as expected, and are lower priced than other sellers. Highly recommended.

Buy quality hose clamps before installation
Step 1 open the box, step 2 take out the hose clamps and throw them over your shoulder buy quality ones !! these are trash, had 3 of them strip the band even before tight and then the other are tight but still leak I am on a well my max h20 pressure is only 60 psi couldn’t imagine on 100 psi rural/city water system the actual male/female connectors are great just the clips are trash need to sell the set little cheaper without the worthless hose clamps

Look cheap, feel cheap, but come with lots of gaskets. Not one leaked. Rings aren't cheap either.
I was skeptical here. I thought this was a cheapo that would have half success rate. With the amount of washers given you, you should seal up a dam with these things. Impressive and simple. I made 9 open ended hoses with these for drainage systems and one to end the hose on my house bib. Pressure held up just fine even against city water pressure lol.

Nicely made
I liked the finished appearance, however the thread is a bit tight and i could not tighten enough to stop the leak on new taps that had been fitted. I had to double up on the rubber washers supplied to stop the leak. A bit disappointing but i made it work.

The brass is good quality but not the hose clamps
The brass itself is a very good quality however the hose clamps are completely useless as they do not tighten up enough to keep the water from spewing out they strip internally very quick

Cumple con lo que promete, aunque no es un producto muy avanzado
Funcionan muy bien, pero lo son de los que cortan el agua al desconectar. También requieren mucha precisión al colocarse.
