The sticks installed easily, despite having no experience whatsoever. I have never tried any install like this, never even cracked open a computer housing. This was a 20-minute install, and I even moved things I didn't have to to gain access. The two boards replaced some older, less powerful sticks. The new boards worked a treat; my tower boots faster, and performs much faster than with the old 3 GB (a1GB & a 2GB) sticks. Now that I've done this once, I want to upgrade an old laptop (and whatever else I can find around the house).

Exactly as described. Working great in my old old Dell Optiplex 780 pc. With only 8mb ram, Linux(Zorin), a new SSL hard drive, my old computer is much faster. I can really tell the difference. TY

I purchased to upgrade an old Dell XPS 8300 to use for a programming project (running Ubuntu linux, used for Jetson TX1 dev). - turned computer off. left power supply attached so case was grounded, to contain static. - removed old ram , vacuumed out the 4 slots - seated these squarely. very snug fit, check orientation before inserting - booted up with F2 key, went to bios so mem count would be updated. speed listed as 1333. saved & exit - computer ran perfectly. did a sudo apt-get install memtester - sudo memtester 15000 1 - memory came up 100% clean no errors :) i would definitely recommend this memory. have never had problems with crucial DDR's static is your enemy. leave PC off but power supply plugged in, as this keeps the pc chassis grounded. if you keep an elbow or foot or something against the frame, you are grounded. also always always avoid touching any of the gold exposed parts of any board or chip. "midas touch" effect lol

I liked the price and specifications of this RAM, since it matched the PCs specs. It was easy to install and was recognized by Windows 10 without an issue. With the addition of an SSD, this PC is much easier to work with. I don't do gaming, so that was never an issue for me.

Upgraded a Dell OPTIPLEX 390 (Windows 10-64) from the no-name 4GB RAM to this 8GB Crucial RAM. NIGHT AND DAY performance increase. It is my opinion that 64 bit systems should never run less than 8GB, and I also believe that all RAM is not at all the same level of quality. This OP390 gained a near solid state HDD performance increase with this upgrade. Your mileage may vary, but the supplier of the PC had some no-name chicom RAM, not factory DELL RAM installed, so I am certain that did not help the performance, as purchased. Crucial is an OUTSTANDING product, and worth a few extra bucks for it.

I had to return this package. But only because of a slight incompatibility with the existing RAM in my older machine. I used Crucial's website scanner and this was the recommendation. The RAM boots but causes lock ups and crashes. After some research I found the RAM I have installed (Crucial's Balistix gaming RAM) uses 1.5v. This package uses a more typical 1.35v. The Crucial site scanner does not check for this. By themselves the 2 sticks work great with no issues! I'm sure it would work for gaming as well. It's just not specifically made for gaming like the Balistix line from Crucial. This RAM works fine for most DDR3 applications. I just wanted to warn folks to check your existing memory carefully for compatibility. If these are going in an empty (compatible) motherboard? You should be ok and it works great!

Excellent for the product and excellent for the Crucial Technical Support. Initially I did not install the cards correctly in my HP 6005 SFF (low profile). Once the other cards are unlatched and removed, the replacement cards must be pressed straight down firmly, with as much as 20 lb of pressure, until they snap into their groves and the end latches spring up and clamp them in. Unfortunately, I was too cautious and did not press firmly enough, so each card laid on top of the contact groove, held loosely in place by the latches, which I had manually lifted up. When I turned the power on, I got five long beeps, and the power would not shut off until I held the power button for 5 seconds. Much to my chagrin, when I 'reinstalled' the original 4 cards, the five long beeps continued! I called Crucial Technical Support, and spoke with their technician for over an hour. From my description of the loose cards, he suggested I put more pressure .. as much as 20-30 pounds ... pushing the cards straight down into their slots. Eventually, the cards snapped into place and the problem was solved! The computer booted back up to my Windows 7 Desktop with no problem. The memory check indicated all 16 GB of RAM (4 x 4GB cards) were recognized by the system. Thank you Crucial Tech Support!

I have an old Dell OptiPlex desktop that was so slow I could drink a cup of coffee before it would boot up. I was so frustrated with my desktop, I was looking for a new one. I am sure glad I looked at upgrading my RAM. I took a chance and spent a few bucks on memory. I am so glad I did this, my computer is like new. Saved myself hundreds with just a small purchase. This memory was so easy to install, just plug and play. My old cranky computer did all the rest. Look at this as an option, the chips came packaged very well and in an anti-static guard. Absolutely love this memory and was super easy to install, was up in minutes and my screen went for blury to clear. Super happy!!!

Habe mit diesem Doppel-Pack meinen Spiele-PC von vorher 2*4GB auf 4*4GB aufgerüstet, Lieferung ging schnell, Preis war angemessen. Speicher wurde nach Einbau korrekt erkannt und auch mit 1600er-Geschwindigkeit analog zum vorhandenen Speicher angebunden. Als 2er-Kit für DDR-Speicher günstiger, vielen ist anscheinend nicht bewusst, dass man zur Ausnutzung der Double Data Rate (DDR) immer jeweils zwei Bänke baugleich bestücken muss. Bei Bedarf gerne wieder.

I used the Crucial website to determine which RAM works and this one is what it said to use! Super easy to install. It is 100% compatible with the stock 8GB RAM I had. I now have a combined 16GB of RAM and could not be happier! Great upgrade for the old 2013 XPS 8700. My Dell just keeps on going strong. I do play some games and it is very capable but I would not call my PC a gaming PC at all. Anyway I hope this review helps others who might have a Dell XPS. Thanks.

Muy buen precio, más bajo que en la web de Crucial. Muy buen rendimiento, se nota mucho la mejora sobre todo al reproducir vídeos, y al ejecutar varias aplicaciones a la vez. Como comentario, tengo que decir que a la hora de instalarlo hay que apretar mucho las pestañitas de los lados donde se insertan los módulos. No hay que tener miedo de hacer toda la fuerza que sea necesaria, porque si no, no quedan bien insertadas en su sitio.
