Pieces don't fit together tightly. You have to submerge almost the whole unit to prime pump and as soon as you pull it out to allow water to flow it loses prime and you start all over. As shown in the pictures, the bag needs to be underwater. I use this device to clean the gravel while I do a water change - so I don’t use the bag. Instead, I connect a hose in its place. When it is submerged it barely sucks anything up and the water it does draw through would take forever to drain or fill. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Fell apart on me *by V***H on November 28, 2021* I do a weekly 20% water change/substrate cleaning on my 55 gallon corner tank. I have used several different aquarium cleaning pumps similar to this one for the last 10 years or so. This is my first time with the Londafish. I have used this for about 4 months now, and finally retiring it. On the plus side, it does work: the suction is adequate, the gravel cleaner picks up debris without catching a huge amount of sand substrate and the telescoping adjustability is handy. The AC adapter is a good feature, but I had not had a chance to use it. However, the pump literally fell apart several times on me, forcing me to glue several pieces together: the gravel cleaner head to the black pipe adapter, and the suction pipe to the rotor head. Also the screw in pump housing kept separating(and was getting progressively worse), but I can't glue it together, as it may need to cleaned occasionally. Having used other pump systems in the past, I have not had these issues.
