Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C Pure 1.3L, Interior Hardwax Wood Oil

Used for two guitar necks so far. One on a maple neck sanded to 400 grit and a maple with rosewood fretboard(left bare) sanded to 400 grit, coated and sanded to 1200, then recoated. The former has that natural timber feel, which I really like (I have two other bare neck guitars in Solid wenge and solid rosewood), the later has a really smooth, glass like satin finish. Really easy and simple to use. Don't need the accelerator unless you need the neck fully cured in a day. I was able to fit tuners and bolt neck on and string up after 24 hours. Soooooooo easy to apply and such a great finish 👍

Impressed with the coverage and the quality. I have to admit that I had to try at least 2 other bottles before finding the right colour. I was trying to match my old and used dining table with the newly purchased set of chairs. Removing the old varnish and then applying the stain and then redoing the varnish is not a simple job, especially if it’s a large item. However after restoring the table and matching it to the chairs, I feel really satisfied. I will definitely recommend this to others who is interested in DIY and knows what they’re doing.

Yes, it's a small bottle, but it goes quite far. You don't need to drench your wood in it. Just take a bit on a brush and work it in until nothing comes off a brush, or whatever you decide to use. The oil itself worked very well for me and gave excellent result.

I like to say the product is good, but you need to order a lot more than you need from what it claims to cover. I used it for my house name board 50x24cm double sided, this bottle of oil claimed to cover 0.8m was barely enough for it. Maybe my wood was too dry but still it's a bit difference.

Good quality product and prompt delivery

It was my first time using this, it was great, but I found you really need to wipe hard to remove the excess. My first try I had not wiped everything off and I was left with a waxxy feeling after the cure. But retrying and being more aggressive with my wiping off, the result was perfect.

Grosse déception ! Laisse une épaisse couche "collante" malgré séchage et très fragile car s'enlève au moindre frottement !! Donne un aspect brillant / laqué au bois alors qu'il s'agit de la variante "pure"

Je connaissais le rubio via les vidéos sur les réseaux, je savais que ce produit était valable. Pour ma 1er utilisation, je suis tout simplement bluffé par le résultat. Je le conseille vivement. Le packaging est génial la livraison rapide et le produit bien emballé.
