Bialetti Kitty – Italian Espresso Coffee Maker in Stainless Steel, 10 Tasses

I am so in love with this pot! We have had a $2,000 Delonghi automatic espresso machine for about 10 yrs. We are spoiled with espresso, and can no longer drink drip coffee. I bought this pot for a multi-week road trip we were taking, so that we would not have to buy Starbucks and the like for each person every day. Best purchase I've ever made on a coffee pot. We LOVE how rich and thick it makes the coffee. I guess I can't call it espresso, as the correct term for what this makes is Moka, which is pretty close to a true espresso. If you ask me, it is better than any espresso I have gotten at Starbucks or from our $2000 Delonghi. My daughter, who was scolding me for buying yet another kitchen appliance, now has her own stainless steel Bialetti! We use our delonghi during the week because we are all getting our coffee at different times, but on the weekends, I love to make our "special weekend coffee" in this pot and sit around and savor the rich deliciousness. I like my milk frothed, and own all kinds of hand-frothers, including a counter top electric one, not to mention, our delonghi has one built in as well. My favorite by far is the ones I buy from Ikea for under three dollars. It has a smaller denser coil, that makes a nice dense foam in about 20 seconds. Add the fresh brewed Moka to this, and you have heaven in a cup. We use the Lavazza Rosa coffee that is supposedly the perfect grind for the Moka pots...a little courser than espresso, but much finer than drip. I highly recommend this pot to anyone. I was intimidated at first thinking it was going to be too much work, but it is SO easy to use and quick to clean up.

We love this coffee maker. It's easy to use, and it makes more flavorful coffee than either a drip coffee maker or a French press. I saw that some reviews talked about it rusting. After 30 or 40 uses the inside of ours still looks shiny and brand new. As far as the rust issue, we also own a 6-cup Bialetti Venus espresso maker (had it for about 3 years), and one day I accidentally let it boil dry. When it cooled and I opened it up to dump the grounds, the bottom was rusty. I cleaned it out well, and it's never done that again. So I think the lesson is, don't let it boil dry. Maybe that's what happened to the reviewers who saw rust.

I got into using Moka pots to make coffee years ago and I used a 9 cup Aluminum Bialetti Moka Pot for a while and loved it till I found out Aluminum is bad to use for cookware. I did a bit a of research and based on reviews I bought the 10 cup Kitty because it's made of Stainless Steel. I've had mine nearly 2 years and have used it daily. Honestly, this is the best method of making coffee I've found. I worked in a coffee shop for 8 years and developed a taste for very strong coffee and this delivers. I use fresh ground dark roast coffee, ground with a Capresso burr grinder set on a medium grind, lightly pack the funnel, fill the base to just below the valve with hot tap water and place on a medium heat and it only takes a few minutes. I'm always satisfied with the results. This makes 10, 1oz cups or in my case 1 big cup and I'm always recommending this particular Moka pot to people I talk to. With a little care and periodically replacing the gaskets and screens, it should last a long time. I only wish they made a 12 or 14 cup version!! There are some good tutorials on Youtube on how to use one and once I learned how to use a Moka pot I was off and running and will never look back.

My First review ever as a long time Amazon shopper. Warning, Replacement gaskets are unavailable anywhere, including on the Bialetti website! Do not purchase this 10 cup pot. I love the pot which was purchased in 2018. I have spent several years on and off trying to find replacement gaskets..to include emailing the company and not receiving a reply. There are no alternatives, as I tried the 9 cup gaskets and the 12 cup gaskets, both of which, were too small and too big, respectively. One alternative was ebay AU at a cost of $45-50! May as well just buy a New Pot!! Bialetti has poor QA and does not seem to really care about customer concerns or satisfaction. With that said, I do like this pot however it is now rendered useless. I also own the 6 cup pot and have had no problem getting replacement gaskets, as they are readily available !

I had some troubles in the beginning when trying to get a good seal without using too much force as to damage the rubber washer. The espresso maker itself is very nice, and after ~2 months of use it appears to be built for the long run.

My wife and I both enjoy large cappuccinos. With our smaller Bialetti i would have to make two batches or slit the espresso into two cups. this one makes two full mugs of espresso! The large unit is also easier to clean because you can get your hand in there to clean it. Others have commented on the handle looking flimsy: Well it's not. The handle is a strap of stainless steel 1/10 of an inch thick with a thermo set polymer two part insulating cover, and it's spot welded to the body of the espresso maker. it is strong and a convenient shape for removing this large espresso maker from the stove top. I was more worried about the stainless steel thumb piece that lifts the lid. My smaller Bialetti has a bakelite or other thermo set polymer material (won't melt) thumb piece and handle while this one is clearly stainless steel thumb piece with no insulation. I'm happy to report that the tab gets warm but never too hot to touch.I am very pleased with this product.

I'm really bummed that this product has changed from what they used to be. I hope the manufacturer sees this and does something about it. I have a wonderful Bialetti Musa from 9 years ago. My husband wanted a bigger one, so we bought the largest Kitty.It just came, and the steel base is definitely not truly stainless. My husband was cleaning to before using it, and discovered it is rusted along the inside of the inside of the base rim.Please Bialetti, please bring back your original quality. We really want to support your products, and love our old Musa. But this new one is not the same.

Acheté pour faire un cadeau d'anniversaire, cette cafetière est de très bonne facture. Bonne qualité du métal, poignée résistante et ergonomique, fonctionne très bien sur des plaques à induction. Et pour finir, elle fait du très bon café et c'est tout ce qu'on lui demande !

In ufficio, da buoni napoletani, abbiamo deciso di alternare il caffè con le cialde con la classica Moka.Bialetti è senza dubbio la migliore marca per il caffè in moka e cosa che ci ho portato a questa scelta è stato il fondo della macchinetta ideato per i fondelli ad induzione.Tra l’altro l’azienda italiana sembra passi un brutto periodo economico, quindi ecco anche un buon modo per aiutarla (almeno nel nostro piccolo).Il caffè sale rapidamente circa 2 minuti e la qualità della miscela è ottima.Confermo che si riesce a riempire anche oltre 10 tazze.Consiglio la classica “montagnella” quando dosate il caffè e di riempire la base con l’acqua fino ad appena sotto la valvola di sicurezza.

Haben die Espressomaschine vor bereits über einem Jahr hier erstanden und sind nach wie vor überaus zufrieden!Kann die schlechteren Rezensionen nicht nachvollziehen, denn unsere Maschine funktioniert immernoch einwandfrei, ohne Auslaufen oder Verfärbung, und der Dichtungsring musste bisher auch nie ausgetauscht werden und sieht beinahe wie neu aus.Wichtig ist meines Wissens die Kanne nicht zu schnell zu stark zu erhitzen und sie nur bei mittlerer Stufe auf den Herd zu stellen.Auch die Größe ist für uns (2 eher viel Kaffee-trinkende Personen) sehr angenehm.Das Design ist sehr formschön und gibt der Maschine zusammen mit der hochwertigen Verarbeitung ein edles Finish.Insgesamt sind wir sehr glücklich über unsere Wahl und können die Espressomaschine nur weiterempfehlen!

This was to replace an aluminium coffee maker (which made excellent coffee, but wasn't particularly well made, was aluminium, spluttered on my hob, dripped when lid lifted, & almost boiled the coffee in the upper receptacle). Researched several stainless steel alternatives including one costing twice the price. I couldn't be happier with my choice of the Bialetti Kitty 10 cup. It makes excellent coffee, makes 2 large mugs, is quick to brew, neither splutters on the hob, nor drips when poured. It is easy to screw and unscrew (like others I would recommend screwing together quite tightly). I have had no problems with the lid hinge (though I do not hold this when screwing the top and the bottom together). All parts are stainless and the whole pot feels substantial and well made. It has quite a broad base which fits onto my gas hob securely, and is also 'bottom-heavy' which makes it very stable. It also looks beautiful and washes well. Have been using it for a few weeks and absolutely love it, no problems at all and am pleased I didn't spend twice as much. Good value for the money.

今までドリップ式のコーヒーメーカーを使っていて初めてエスプレッソメーカー（直火式）「Bialetti (ビアレッティ) Elegance Kitty・6カップ用」を買いました。６カップといってもエスプレッソ用のカップの量なのでマグカップだと１杯分の量です。そこで、２人で飲む時のために6カップ用とは別に、この10カップ用も買いました。内部は３段になっています。１段目（下の丸い部分）に水を入れ２段目にコーヒー豆を入れて直火に掛けます。水蒸気が２段目を通過して３段目（上の部分）にできあがったコーヒーが溜まって出来上がりです。飲んでみると雑味がほとんどなくなかなか美味し、大当たりの買い物でした。
