Every Duck hunter needs this!
Perfect duck call for every duck hunter. I bought this for my husband and he was thoroughly impressed with this. The quality is great. Made very well and durable. This is a SIX IN ONE. You can do many different calls with this one and thats the best thing about it. It is also very user friendly.

Versatile and can't beat the price
This Whistle/Duck Call is extremely versatile and you can't beat the price. It's cheap and the whistle is simple plastic, but what do you expect for the price? The key to any price / quality is the big questions: Does it work? It works great! Hold your hand over the end of the call and you sound exactly like a dove. You can even use this whistle as a replacement for the Mallard Drake call as this imitates the sound as well by humming into the whistle. You also get the Pintail and Widgeon calls as well as quail thrown in. If you are having a problem learning all the calls (they are really simple) - just go to YouTube and Jase from Duck Commander will show you how to do each call. It took me 1 day to master the call. Not the highest quality - it feels cheap - but that is okay because... it was cheap. Does it work well? Yes - perfectly. Same sound/better than the more expensive whistles that my dad owns. Five Stars. NOTE: I have used Duck Commander calls etc. and I never even saw an episode of Duck Dynasty until last week. So, no bias in here by loving the show.

Should be called Pintail/Widgeon/Rabbit
So out of allllllll the calls you can put on your lanyard as a bird watcher or hunter and if you could only choose one to use to pursue a variety of species I would 100% select this. It is so simple yet so dynamic. I have not hunted with it yet but I have gone out to my rabbit area and my fowl area and I have called various species in. Yes, that is right, rabbit and honestly Im not a huge fowl guy so I was pretty excited when I pulled off a basic rabbit distress call (yeah, they respond to those really well). Learning the calls is fairly simple, there are plenty of videos on youtube out there to show you just search the product name and there are at least 3 decent videos. I always have trouble with mallard hums so that is really the only one I sound bad on. But the thing that I found so impressive was how well I got rabbits to jump draw from their dens. I tried a few various techniques and I actually got one to come out with just doing the Pintail peep peep peep... But then I started to do a "ree, reeee, ree" call (Breathing in and mouthing "ree ree") I was able to get the sound of a distressed rabbit and for whatever reasons rabbits like to come out on those... Anyway, its a great all around whistle call. I would suggest pulling this thing out bird watching before hunting season and later in the season (when they are a bit more weary) .... I think they are so effective simply because so few people use them as they are kind of weak on Mallards.

Great product!
This 6-1 whistle has a great sound and very easy to use. Works great especially in late season with warry ducks.

Works, good addition to call lanyard
I get it. You saw Duck Dynasty, you got an Uncle Si t-shirt, and now you want a duck call. But real duck calls are expensive, so you bought the cheapest one sold. Now you have a plastic whistle. You didn't bother to read the back, or watch a Youtube video where they show how to make the 6 bird sounds, from quail to dove to widgeon. You aren't even really sure what a widgeon is, and you've certainly never heard one, so it is a bit hard to tell if this thing works, right? It doesn't "quack". That's ok, you aren't going to buy a duck stamp or get up at 3 AM in the January cold to actually duck hunt anyway, but you've got your Si tea glass and "Happy Happy Happy" shirt and that's close enough. But seriously... this, the Haydel MP-90 or the Buck Gardner one are all pretty much the same; this one happened to be cheaper and in stock with Prime shipping on the day I ordered. I'm a bad caller and generally STFU in the blind and let the other guys who know what they're doing call, but I try to practice a lot. The dove & quail calls from this are a great "bonus" and as I also hunt both it will come in handy outside of duck season. Make no mistake, it is a cheap plastic made in China whistle, not a $150 hand crafted acrylic duck call, and it is priced correctly for what it is. You will not take it out of the package and become the Duck Commander, nor will it make your beard grow overnight, but if you duck hunt you need something like this.

Easy versatile call
There's a duck dynasty video on YouTube walking through the versatility of this call. 5-10 min you can easily start emulating all the ducks mentioned. Mostly use it for mallard drake because we don't get a lot of widgeon or pintail in my area. I would argue that this could be a 7 in one call because you can mess with some wood duck vocalizations especially early in the morning and I've had success with this. One down side is it's bright yellow and it sticks out like soar thumb. My buddy has an older version that's nearly black. When hunting ducks I'm covered in camo but I have this bright yellow whistle on my chest. Seems counter intuitive. However I don't think it's ruined any hunts.

maybe its me
I couldn't get this thing to make anything sound like a duck. in fact I think if a duck heard the noise I got to come out of this thing, they would flay in the opposite direction . it is made well out of sturdy plastic

Performs
My nephew absolutely loved his gift, another duck call to add to his collection. It's pretty easy to use and you can get results with just a little bit of practice. I can't wait for duck season to open; I think I should buy one for myself so I can practice with him. I've heard that practicing with a duck call can really improve your hunting success, so I'm excited to see how it helps me this season.
